I've been working in this area for a long time and perviously it was not managed very well and since Rod has taken over this amazing located Kiosk, everything has totally changed. Food hygiene has always been one of my key factors, being a hotelier that had worked for 5 Star luxury brands around the world. Rod took me on a tour at the back of his kitchen and showed me how clean the back areas are and now serving excellent very tasty food and really good coffees, with many food choices, not to mention the prices given for the quality they serve are really value for money. I do love his fresh cinnamon donuts and bacon & egg rolls, yummy!! Also Rod and his team are really awesome and provide a very good customer service and they are so friendly, making you feel very welcome to the Kiosk in Sydney's most iconic location. Thanks Rod for brining back alive this amazing cafe (Kiosk) which had lost it's charm from the previous operator. Keep it up and keep...
Read moreBeautiful spot and the cinnamon donuts were fab. The server put our meals down while my sister was away from the table and then a seagul grabbed her burger. The server didn't mention anything about the birds. I took it back and offered to buy a new one (expecting to cover the food cost only). The manager was a nice guy but didn't seem very empathetic, i presume it happens a lot. He did offer a discount, but it was only a 25% discount. I regret not passing the feedback on at the time;
Ideally the server should caution patrons about the birds, especially when delivering a plate of food to an empty chair. The manager could also have been a little more empathetic, and I think the second meal should have only been charged at food cost. Passing on labour and rent and a portion of profit again is a bit stiff because I'm the same patron who already bought a full priced meal - I ended up paying $33...
Read moreThis place is a treasure. Bringing my dog, I met up with four relatives for coffee and brunch here today. Despite the weather forecast which threatened rain and storms, it turned out to be hot and sunny. Regardless we were safe from all possible weather dramas under that magnificent sheltering canopy of wood (a little masterpiece of architecture in my opinion.) It was just relaxing sitting in the fresh air, taking in the harbour views and watching all the people and dogs enjoying themselves in this interesting park. The coffee was delicious, those old-school freshly-made cinnamon donuts hit the spot, and all drinks and dishes we ordered were fine. However, I’m mainly writing this review to commend the excellent service, which was very friendly (possibly more friendly than we deserved.) The staff were very kind to my dog too. Thank you,...
