Went to the Rachmaninov concert last night and although the players were excellent, it was marred by the fact that the organisers gave special appreciation and thanks to the Russian ambassador and his delegation. Considering the atrocities currently being undertaken by the Russian government in their unjustified unilateral war against Ukraine and its civil rights abuses carried out against Christian believers who are imprisoned simply for carrying out their worship, it seems appalling that the organisors of the event saw fit to put the Russian delegation on a pedestal. This was much to the embarrassment of others in the audience who did not know quite what to do, but sat passively refusing to stand or clap. There's no a proper stage, so the people seating from the 3rd row backwards can't see the musicians, even though you can set up a small stage on your own as a concert organiser, It has to be very low because otherwise you can hit your head with the ceiling of this room when you stand up on the stage, it's very low. It is also suitable for corporate and family events, as it has great side views. The hall's support team and other facilities are top-notch. We are very grateful for the service manager and the team's support!
