We had an afternoon snack here, the vegatble chiu chow (like a vegetable har gow) had a weird plastic smell and taste, and the salmon sushi tasted fishy like it had been left out too long (fishy taste and wasn't cold or fresh smelling). We ate three of the four sushi and couldn't eat the last. The chiu chow was inedible and we were unable to swallow even a mouthful to the point of taking it out of the mouth, back into the basket. We ordered some chicken dim sim in place of it, which was not very good but edible since we were so hungry. We also had a mocktail, juice, and a bacon and egg roll which were fine. We let the manager know the sushi didn't taste fresh, like it had been left out too long and the chiu chow wasn't edible. She said the sushi is fresh, it is prepared each morning but she will give the chef our feedback! I was a bit astonished at the response. But putting that aside, I said well we aren't even able to eat a bite of the chiu chow it's just horrible, so she asked if we would like her to bring us something else. I said we already ordered chicken dim sim instead and could she please refund the chiu chow. She said ok. I have checked my credit card statement today, two weekends later and there's no refund. The food was extremely sub-par as was the unapologetic handling of our feedback...

3rd time visiting, 3rd time there were problems with the order. Whilst some waits can be partly explained to peak periods, regular mix ups of orders and behind the counter staff telling you to go see someone on the other side in dismissive tones or telling you to go ask someone else weren't on the menu when I checked. Having to take your plate with you for fear of seaguls dining or your part filled order isn't for a pleasant experience . Whats in disarray is that when asked at point of pay before sitting whether you want it in succession or together; it makes no difference. As one sits there until eventually asking why your main has arrived before your starter, you are then given the rehearsed answer that 'there are two different kitchens'.
That explanation should not be the customer's concern.
On the third visit (this is the first time I had to actually complain) a manager came to then see me who in fairness tried to remedy, which I did appreciate but said it was not necessary. All that mattered was getting the service paid for.
