It started great, got a large loft 1 bedroom apartment which is bight and high ceiling. Great lovely terrace with table and chair to see the mountains. The apartments is very clean and all works as it should. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer. |1 large queen bed and 2 double sofa bed, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. ||Location is perfect, 3 busses stops directly outside, a large supermarket Billa and pharmacy, toy store + many other store and restaurants is 100m from the villa. Walking to altstadt about 20min without stroller (adult pace). ||Parking is directly outside and there are more parking spaces than apartments so there is always a space free.|No elevator in the building so we had to carry our bags many steps. ||Then comes the annoyances, the warm water is not hot enough, sometimes no hot water at) all. Wifi intermittently loses internet connection and is quite slow. There are no shower curtains, so when taking a shower the water (cold mostly) goes everywhere. There are no really night curtains and the traffic noise is high due to it is next to a high traffic road. ||No AC and only 1 small electric table fan that is very loud. So if the days are warm, the apartment gets really warm in the evenings as well, and since it is not possible to open the windows due to traffic noise, we feel slowly baked and suffocated during the night. Fortunately these warm days are quite a few... ||For us that travels with young children, it is a bit difficult without any microwave and also no high chair. Crib costs €10/day which is a bit steep considering what we got (an old travel crib that costs like €50 to buy a new) ||OH, when check in, done forget to ask for keys to kitchen drawers (if you have a kitchen, saves you...
Read moreThis was a last minute reservation and had I known that there was no air conditioning I would not have chosen to stay here. The room was clean and the shower was nice but that's about it. When I mentioned other poor reviews to the hotel desk man (at a nearby hotel that takes care of this Villa) he said i would have been lucky to find air conditioning in many hotels across Europe. My family and I have been to 6 other cities where every place had air conditioning. At 36 degrees during the day, a good night sleep was essential and we did not get that. Windows had to be open in order to get some air in so, of course, the city noises flowed in. I'm sure it would be an ok place in cooler weather but NOT in the hot weather. I also did not appreciate the way he condascended me when he spoke about how I felt. Wouldn't...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights at this property which proved to be very satisfactory. The location is a short bus ride (frequent buses) from the old town and can be walked in under 30 minutes. Our room was warm (important given the cold winter weather) and well furnished. The bathroom had an excellent shower. There were no noise issues. Breakfast is served in the Hotel zur Post to which Villa Ceconi belongs (a short walk away) and was excellent, with plenty of healthy choices, given the focus on organic products.|Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend purchasing the Salzburg Card if visitors wish to visit major tourist sites within a prescribed time (Mozart's house, Cathedral Quarter, Fortress) - this also includes local...
