We stayed here for 3 nights.
Positive points: Near the airport Interesting artwork A part of the staff is helpful (but not always and they seem that they do not communicate with eachother)
Negative points: The AC unit in the room was making a strange noise every 30 minutes (even though it was turned off). One lady at the reception seemed to be very aware of the issue, while the other one seemed clueless and said that no one complained about this. It made out stay awful, as we couldn’t sleep. Although we changed rooms, the AC unit in the other room was still making the wird noise. The mattress and the pillows are awful. Bad quality. Cleanliness (but not extremly bad), when we got the room, the cleaning ladies did not manage to clean it and it was not cleaned after the previous tourists. There were a lot of hairs on the shower walls, a sign that no one rinsed the walls. There was no “do not disturb” sign in the first room, we asked for it, but at the reception said that they do not have any.
The experience was awful because we could not sleep well, otherwise, the hotel is ok-ish… I would...
Read moreThe Edlinger hotel is situated a bit outside of Salzburg’s historic old town but this is probably one of its asset as one can relax and recover in quiet here, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist-crowded old town. Bus nr 1 to all the main touristic spots in Salzburg stops right in front of the hotel and the airport is also only a ten-minute bus drive away with bus nr 2 and the hotel provides mobility cards for free public transportation.|The entire building is dedicated to the art of Günter Edlinger and all the rooms are decorated in a great pop-art style. Even the single rooms have comfortably large beds and the Nespresso machines are such a huge plus on mornings with early departure. Just as importantly, the Edlinger can be booked at fairly reasonable prices in a city that is becoming increasingly expensive so I would happily return here...
Read moreOn paper this hotel had a lot going for it. Was price friendly for us, location with bus stop immediately outside with a 15 min ride into town. The staff were very friendly on the whole. Decor funky and appealing for younger persons||The negatives for me were : air con was leaking considerably - reported it only to return from breakfast with a dehumidifier in the room not an air con unit - it was 34c summers day!!! ||The room itself was smaller than anticipated with a lack of amenities. Breakfast was ok not the largest spread ||The biggest peeve for me was after a highly stressful day travelling we desperately needed lunch and there were no snacks or anything to purchase there. With it being a Saturday the local shops were closed. ||Salzburg lovely and not going to completely slate the hotel as some great promise just missing a few...
