We recently stayed at Hotel Junior by Max, where my elderly mother in law had a serious fall due to an unmarked step in the hallway. She suffered a severe leg injury and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. We want to strongly advise other guests to be cautious, especially those traveling with elderly people or small children — the hotel has steep stairs and some level changes that are not visibly marked, which can be dangerous. Also no elevator. Despite the clear hazard, the hotel took no responsibility for the accident and claimed it was “not their fault,” even though Austrian safety regulations require such steps to be clearly marked. After the accident, it took over an hour for the manager to arrive, as he was consulting with lawyers. During that time, no one offered help or even a glass of water, which felt incredibly cold given the circumstances. The only action the manager took was to “kindly” let us stay in the room for an hour after check-out, pointing out that under normal circumstances, this would cost extra — but in light of our emergency, he would let it slide. That gesture felt more ironic than generous. This was a deeply upsetting experience for our family.

Just outside of the heart of the city. Easy check in - it's automated through a kiosk out front. The room is clean and open with plenty of natural light. Has a bed, small couch, and a desk. Also a coat/shoe rack and safe as well. It's easy to get to the heart of the city. It's a straight shot drive on the same road as the hotel - or about a 25 min walk. The walk is pleasant and very safe. Private parking is offered and it's easy to get in/out. Wifi, at least on the 3rd floor, is can be spotty at times. Giving 4/5 on location because there isnt a great view of the alps. Would recommend staying here though. Clean, safe, close to the center, parking, breakfast, free wifi, friendly staff.

I cannot recoomend this. Is unbelievable that Das Junior costs quite a lot but it sells something that does not exist in reality, at least for what we reserved, and the people working there have an unacceptable atitude. We reserved a room and for the reservation there was a picture with the bathroom having the sink in the bathroom, as it should. But when we got to the room, we noticed the sink is in the room itself, not in the bathroom. Also we reserved for 2 persons and yet they left us one carton glass in case we needed coffee. They prepared the bed for one single person, with one pillow. In fact, the bed was really small, i wonder if they gave us a single room and they sold it as double. The picture for the basic room we reserved was different. Me and my partner are fit, if there were 2 bigger persons for sure the bed would not be suitable. The room is very small, and the breakfast room is further than this location itself. This is not specified in the description. We went and complained that we bought something that does not look like in pictures and that the room was equipped for 1 person, in reality, but the receptionist, instead of trying to fix the mistake and say the hotel is sorry for the mistake, he was rude, patronized us and wanted to get rid of us and was trying to shut us down not to speak anymore, he told us we can file a complaint in the morning if we want. In the end, he brought us one more pillow with a very nervous atitude, as if we disturbed him for asking for what we payed. I do understand is not his fault but he could have been more client oriented and with more respect for the guests that actually payed for something they never received, and show more empathy, especially when we showed him the picure for the reservation. He claimed we are looking at the general pictures but even so, there was not a single picture with a sink in the room and a double room had bigger bed as well, not to mention we payed for 2 but they arranged the room for 1 ( as i said, i am convinced that was a single room). Dissappointing . I am looking at every reply the hotel has to any negative comment and the style is the same: patronizing, even rude instead of acknoledgement and accountability. It does not seem to cross their mind that the people that are unsatisfied may have a reason, it seems this hotel makes everything perfect, the guests have some problems with the perception or is bookings fault or whatever. But not their fault, they seem to do everything right. Sad. They replied to our comment on booking as " they are sorry we found the sink in the room annotying" and that we reserved the cheapest room lol but they did not mention they prepared the room for one person when we payed for 2, there is no pictures on the site on how the room actually looks like ( if there were we would not have reserved), no words about the breakfast on the other building and no words about the disrespectful staff. They just replied in the same rude and patronizing way. Unbelievable. We actually payed to stay here and to be treated like...

The hotel itself was good. The room was small but very well planned, it had air conditioning, kettle, safe, shower gel etc. - everything you would need. The bed even had a soft support for your head when you are sitting in the bed. You had to check-in in the hotel nearby (2 mins walking, no more), but for us it was no problem. After that, you just use lust card to unlock outside and your own room door. The administration was very helpful as well (especially the blonde girl, pay her a bonus!). Finally, the sound isolation was good and the windows were sound proof.||||Now the drawbacks. Even though the room was clean and tidy, towels were changed, but cleaners weren't doing their job properly. Because there is a kettle in the room, tea and coffee packs were left the first 3 days, but the 4th and 5th day they weren't left. We could've bought them, but the stores work only until 8 PM, so it was too late when we came back. The 3rd day she left tea and coffee packs, but didn't leave paper cups and even threw away old paper cups that I left on my table. So had to go to registration and they gave us proper cups with spoons. The cleaner didn't put new bottle of liquid soap, so had to ask administration for this one as well. The cleaner was lazy enough, that the empty bottle of soap wasn't taken out (you can't do it by yourself, I tried). On the final morning we ran out of shower gel (unfortunately, I already started showering), and we almost ran out of toilet paper, because cleaner couldn't add the second one as is usual). ||||So overall it can be a perfect hotel, but nuances listed above make it much worse that it is worth it. I'd be back again if I knew the problem with...
