Think Twice before booking this place for stay. Gasthof Wastlwirt is little away from Salzburg city centre. Accessible by local Bus No. 1, 10 from main station & City Centre. We arrived a bit early for checkin and had to wait for over an hour. For family, we had booked One Nice big room with an attached Single Bedroom.
We didnt like the separate Toilet area which was in the single room & the common bathroom which was right in between both the rooms with NO Door on one side of the room. Saving Grace was the foldable Screen kept in room....(Privacy is important) Also, theres No service or Attendee for Breakfast here. Just few Sandwiches, Drinks, chips etc kept in the Alley, all Chargeable. No morning Tea / Coffee available.
After 11 am - hotel staff start the Routine job till 11pm.

Disliked · I'll try to list the main negative points: 1.The shower water fluctuated between hot and cold. Initially, it starts hot, but after about 3 minutes, it turns freezing, then warms up again. I ended up feeling extremely cold during my showers there! Very unpleasant! 2.The bathroom had no door. The bathroom was between two rooms and had a door only for one of the rooms, meaning zero privacy! 3.The toilet seat was broken and had been patched up with tape, and the tape was already discolored, brown. Extremely disgusting! I couldn't bring myself to sit on it! See the attached photo. 4.The bath towels were stiff. 5.The shower door was loose. 6.The bathroom light kept flickering due to some electrical issue. Overall, the room was extremely old, and everything was...
Read moreWe tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. Initially we reserved for 6PM but had to move our reservation to 7PM. I was worried, but the friendly fellow on the phone changed it without any problem (although the restaurant was very very busy). We sat outside in the garden, which was fully booked. Service was impeccable, friendly and fast. We ordered Steak Tartare, Schnitzel, Cordon bleu, Burgers and Brownies. Gladly not a starter for everybody, because the main courses were rather big. The burgers were finger-licking-good. Their buns are 'Laugen-based' which are similar to Brezen. We loved it and shall return very very soon. Great value for money by the way. 4 Pax - 2 starters, 4 mains, 2 desserts, drinks and water, Average Euro 30,00/pax which is a fantastic price, considering the impeccable service and qualitiy....
