Tragedia.
Today in this cafe I was spoiled with all the pleasure of visiting the palace complex. After a very nice walk, I wanted to drink coffee in this cafe. I had a 4 kg dog in a special backpack, which was in this backpack all the time while walking through the palace gardens. When I sat down in the cafe and ordered cake and coffee from the waiter, I put the backpack with the dog on the floor under the table. The dog was sleeping peacefully in his bag all the time. After a while, another waiter came over and asked me out of the cafe. My dog visited all over Europe with me we were for 8 years in hundreds of restaurants and cafes. No one has ever held a grudge against me for accompanying me in this bag. Moreover, in most places the waiters came with a bowl of water for him. I warn everyone who loves animals in the center of Europe in Vienna to avoid the Schonbrunner Schlosscafe cafe with...
Read moreI've never encountered such unpleasant service in my life. We stopped there for a beer on last Saturday around 12 noon. We had a reservation for a tour of Schonbrunn Palace in half an hour, so we didn't stay long. After we finished our drinks, a bearded waiter took our payment and immediately pointed out that his service wasn't included in the price. Meanwhile, we were still waiting at our table for someone to return from the bathroom. Over the next 3-5 minutes, the waiter came back twice to remind us that tips weren't included. After a while, he started to loudly move the chairs at the table we were still sitting at. We initially planned to leave the 10% tip before leaving, but we decided to not. The beer was tasty, but the service was poor. From other comments I see that nothing has changed in this regard over the...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend going back to this café. It was quite busy, primarily because the ticket counter is located right inside the restaurant, which creates a chaotic environment. Their customer service policies are extremely poor and disrespectful toward guests. I had ordered a cake and an espresso, which required minimal preparation. However, when I politely asked to change my order to an orange juice, the waiter refused, stating that I was two minutes too late to make any changes. He mentioned that only the manager could approve it, but then informed me the manager wasn’t available. This was incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, the cake tasted stale and old. Overall, the café seems to lack even basic standards of guest service. This is by far the worst experience I’ve...
