My visit to the Baylor Mosque in the old city of Baku was a somber reminder of the city's complex history. As restoration work was completed in 2015, the 1895-built Beyler Mosque in "Icherisheher" (the Old City) was transformed into a Mosque-Museum. The Mosque hosts an exhibit titled "Holy Relics" that was produced in accordance with religious principles and practices and has a significant influence on the country's moral culture. This exhibit presents old "Quran" texts from various eras, which are considered the holy legacy of the Islamic faith.
