Detailed self guided walking tour below. It’s beautiful now. Many awesome kiosks inside the port. Amazingly redesigned from what it was. For the softer people who have a hard time dealing with high pressure sales techniques this is probably a dream come true. Feels extremely safe, clean and organized. The amphitheater and dock area was super pretty. Step outside and across the street to the Straw market for much better deals & options on souvenirs and drinks as well as a liquor store. I felt safe everywhere I went in this port area, walked to the queens steps, took the neighborhood route towards the port area, a right down a cool set of steps then stopped at the governors mansion for a pic,, then to the Pirate museum, then to Junkanoo beach, then the liquor store, then straw market then back to the port and had zero issues.

Recommendations - Have a good breakfast. Bring ID & Sea Pass & bring a bag with a small umbrella, towels, cash, good walking shoes or bandaids for potential...
Read moreMost of the cruise including Royal Caribbean I was with, docks at this place. Once you leave the ship, there will be a port of entry and officers to check your id, cruise may have some attendance for people leaving to Nassau. Once you are thru the gate, you'll see a glimpse of Caribbean culture which you don't see in US, people asking you for cab and almost grabbing you to board his cabs, though in my home country India we had many experiences like this.
Key factors: Have your Passport with you. Credit Card for use in your visit to Hotel Atlantis Don't get annoyed with local cab drivers they won't harm you though. Have cash with you so that you can commute locally on Cab, they won't accept cards. you will have to pay only $5 for a ride to Hotel Atlantis. While returning back you can buy souvenirs from...
Read moreCame to Nassau on the Disney Wish and had a great experience onshore especially at the Lukka Kairi waterfront bar next to Senior’ Frogs. On the way back to the ship I talked to one of the dock workers name Arthur Johnson…..probably the best conversation, and most informative I have ever had. I initially was just asking about a departure time of a Royal Caribbean ship next to the Wish, but Mr. Johnson not only talked about that but in a short 5 minute conversation gave me and my wife a plethora of info about all of the ships and how they dock and depart. We also found out he had worked at his job for 48 years!! Needless to say talking with Mr. Johnson was an absolute joy. The Wharf has a great man in Arthur Johnson and he truly made our trip to Nassau that much...
