Trust but always Verify your bill in this place and please avoid the soup of the day! There is none! My wife and I went upstair at the pool bar balcony. We ask the server what is the soup day. The server said Conch soup. I said very well 2 bowl of soup of the day. When we got the bill I notice the lady serving us was quick to crush the bill and throw it in the garbage! Being a 38 year veteran police officer. I ask the server the bill. On my way out I noticed we were charge one dollar extra for the soup... I asked the receptionist to give me the menu... The soup of the day was one dollar less than the price I was charged. I returned to talk to the lady server with the receptionist... They went to the lady manager. I reiterated my observations to her and I mentioned that this is not ethical to charge me for an item ordered from the menu... She said that they have no soup of the day and became loud er and even invoque God ! I said to her please do not get angry... I am not angry , I just want to understand why you charged me 2 dollars extra. I asked her why they advertise on their menu Soup of the day if the have no Soup of the day... She said that it was not her fault and that was not false advertisement! And refer to God again... She said that it was not her lady server since there was no soup of the day. I said well it is certainly not my fault. I am the Client who ordered two soup of the day... I mentioned that I will write to Trip Advisor about the incident. The lady serving us then gave me 2 us dollars. The lady manager then said that I was threatening her. I said I just want to communicate my observations that I am sharing with the Manager. Are you angry at your server after she reimbursed your money? I said I am not angry, you the manager is the one who is angry. Anger is an emotion that usually arises because of an individual's perceived loss. Before leaving I graciously gave the 2 dollars to the server as a sign of good faith... I know that it could be a mistake as this practice must have been in place successfully and many times in the past... NAMES HAVE BEEN OMITTED TO PROTECT...
Read moreWe stumbled on this place right across from the cruise ship terminals. They had a worker out front to greet people. We told her we were unsure and that we were looking for lobster. She told us they had lobster poppers and we would not be disappointed. as we headed up the stairs, I asked if they have drinks she said yes make sure you try the rum punch. Well, let me tell you it was the best decision we made. There was not one thing that we did not like. My husband and I got the seafood platter. We shared it. It came with conch, lobster poppers, shrimp and fish. It’s definitely a meal for two. it also came with two side dishes. We chose the beans and rice and plantains. I have no idea what they did with the beans and rice but I know it was from scratch. It was the best I’ve ever had. All the food was season extremely well. My husband and I could not stop talking about how good everything taste. And let me tell you about that rum punch that rum punch taste like no other rum punch I ever had before. I had one 24oz glass and it was all I needed. Don’t pass these restaurant up. The service was top tier as well. Our server was Linda. If you go she will take very good...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE (do not eat here- overrated) ordered two appetizers of conch fritters (they were quite delicious!) and one barely cold 12 oz beer = $32 for a quick mid-day snack. We were there for about an hour and 15, ridiculous wait time for two appies and a bill. Place was not significantly busy, three servers on staff, took orders of people who came in much after us first, after asking a different server for our bill (ours was MIA inside for the past 30 mins since dropping off the food) waited a while longer out in the rain, then went inside to politely ask if we could please settle up when she had the chance, she responded rudely then had the audacity to ask if we needed change from our 40$. As if we would give a 25% tip on appies for the longest service ever in ADDITION to the 15% tip that is automatically applied (guess she doesnt feel she should even do the bare minimum job as she gets the tip regardless). conch fritters were very tasty, otherwise this...
