this place was recommended by an Italian friend who is a foody. i guess that sums it up. The place is not that big, but very bright and the design is quite nice.
SERVICE : the staff is very kind, the chef Emmanuel is very welcoming, and you can enjoy the live cooking!
FOOD Apetizers : we took the Mozarella Buffala which was savoury and the mixed cheese/charcuterie plate
i highly recommende those : the charcuterie plate comes with Truffle Mortadella, and the cheese is Moliterno with black Truffle and with pear jam. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
3 choices of pasta as a main course , and usually i recommend to go with the chef's choice, but if you like the classic basilico pomodoro pasta, then why not!
WINE : a good selection of french and italian wine, with a fair price range
DESSERTS : 1- The TIRAMISU was delicious, not the best you'll ever eat though 2- Try the CHOCOLATE SAUSAGE with Biscuits.
The coffee is Italian. no need to say more
on week ends, the place is usually busy, so there might be some waiting time because they do not take reservation. i recommend an Aperol Spritz to be...
Read moreGazzetta is such a cute and welcoming place, perfect for a chill date night. The owners are incredibly pleasant, they take the time to greet you warmly and explain the menu, which really makes the experience feel personal.
The dinner menu has limited options, but in the best way, everything feels thoughtful and well-curated. We tried the pasta of the day (similar to Norma) and the carne alla griglia. The pasta was gluten-free and cooked separately for safety, which is very considerate. It was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The grilled meat was juicy, well-salted, and tender. We also asked for extra ricotta, and they provided a very generous portion.
The seating is cozy, with the added charm of an open live kitchen. The atmosphere feels intimate without being cramped, making it a great spot for couples.
All in all, the price-to-value is excellent, especially with such attentive service and warm hospitality. Definitely recommended if you’re in Brussels and looking for a gluten-free-friendly...
Read moreHad a broccoli pesto and sausage pasta to start which was good but I couldn't but help think my wife would love it. I had entrocotte steak medium which was nice but more like a medium rare in the UK which is good as I like medium/rare. Although I wasn't keen on the rocket with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar addition, with bread yes but not with green leaves, a bit tomatoes and cheese with leaves would have been nicer. The cheese cake was baked and good but wasn't blown away by the Clementine sauce. I much preferred my wife chocolate baked cheesecake. But it all came in At 55 euro which is good value, tip on top. Wish I tried the mozzarella dish as it looked great. Would I go back - yes. It is also open pretty late which is useful and I like the decor inside. Also I feel they could free up space for a few times extra tables if they move the till to the area next to the kitchen where they have I think fridge/ to the toilets....
