Despite its relatively expensive entrance fee, the gallery is certainly worth it. Entrance costs 12KM (approx 6 euros) and you also have the option of an audio guide for an additional 3KM (approx 1,50 euros.) As soon as you enter the gallery you're confronted with the names of the people who have fallen during massacre that occurred in Srebrenica. The gallery shows everything from the suffering of the Bosniaks, to the apathy shown by the Dutch UNPROFOR soldiers who were supposed to safeguard the Srebrenica "safe-zone." Aside from Srebrenica, the siege of Sarajevo is covered here as well. The gallery also plays various documentaries that give good insight about what happened during the war. I especially liked the Miss Sarajevo documentary, since it really showed how the people of Sarajevo actually lived besides just surviving. Everything from day to day survival, to night life and the people's dark humor and sense of irony during the war was there to be seen. Along with the historical museum and the Tunnel of Hope, this is a great place to gather some substantial knowledge about what...

"All what is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" (Edmund Burke)

Not all the places here in Bosnia are nice and pleasant. The cemeteries are full with the memorials for the people who died in 1992-1995. Hundreds of the them. There are literally walls with the names of these people who were dreaming to live longer but it didn't happened. There are still the holes and the marks on the buildings from the Balkans war. These scars remind about the events which all of us remember. But our "memories" are the "truth" here.

We went to the Center to learn more about what happened. No comment on the event and the parts. But knowing that several thousands of civil people (whatever their believes and whatever their nationalities were) gone... it's a heavy knowledge 😔

Some general information:

The Srebrenica massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide, was the July 1995 genocide of more than 8,000 Muslim Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica during the...

The gallery might be small as some of the reviews pointed out, HOWEVER with the amazing audioguide, the films and the interactive screens you can spend many hours learning about the horrifying and appalling tragedy of the genocide. There's also an incredible movie titled " miss Sarajevo" portraying the everyday life as well as a bit of counterculture during the siege of Sarajevo using only original footage. All the incredible photographs as well as the original video footage and the informative (albeit horrifying) information from the audioguide have left a deep and unforgettable impression on me. During my stay in Bosnia and Herzogovina I have been trying to learn as much as possible about the conflict in the 90s and this museum was a real eye-opener. Do not miss while in Sarajevo and do absolutely get the audio guide (it's 3 additional KM and available in many languages). Thank you to the museum for preserving the memory of these...

We visited this place just before leaving Sarajevo. I liked the exhibition and the way of its presentation though tickets were quite expensive for a small space like this one. Also, we were informed that the tickets are for two days so we could come back the next day but I couldn’t understand the purpose of it as the gallery has only one permanent exhibition and one ongoing exhibition. Ongoing exhibition had very litte material & it was not going to change the next day. So sellimg tickets with 2-day access is something very time specific and not suitable for tourists. I think it would be a good option to have cheaper tickets for one visit only.
