The location is good and the interior is interesting, however, I had a bad experience in this pub. The staff tried to exploit the fact we were tourists with a "tourist tax".
It begun when our waiter insisted that we make an order without looking in the menu and so we did. After 15 minutes the waiter comes by and kindly asks us to pay, the change we received felt wrong so I checked the menu to find out the change is wrong. It rang a familiar bell so I call the waiter for an explanation, he explains that he took a tip (on his own, without permission). He gave the "tip" back and went away. Counting the change it is STILL wrong!, I call the waiter again!, this time he explains that the drink we asked for was out of stock so he took upon himself the initiative of providing us with a more expensive version of the drink without warning, and if you ask me, it was the same actual drink.
I'm staying away from this place and its sister bars...
Read moreAvoid this place (and the place across the road) like the plague. All nice when you're ordering but when it comes time to pay, if you ask for a receipt they'll make a big deal out of it like "my fellow bartender from the other pub said you did a similar thing for a drink at their place" (the similar thing being, asking for a receipt)
These guys are all in cahoots with one another, running a scam to get tourists to pay more. When you ask for a receipt, they first tell you what the price for everything is off the top of their head, and when you insist you want to see it on a receipt, it's obvious they've inflated prices to rip you off and their attitude will change because you've caught them out, spouting "hurry up, I'm busy cant you see" as you're getting ready to pay.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Go to Celtic bar or Barometer where you're actually treated fairly and not being ripped...
Read moreTourists be careful. I went there with a friend on Wednesday September 25, 2019 around 7 pm. The waiter charged us 24 Bosnian Marka (around 12 euros) for 4 beers, which was way above the price listed on the menu (the most expensive beer on the menu was 4 marka). When we asked for the ticket, the 2 waiters and the bartender said that they updated the system and that they could not give me the correct tickets for the 4 beers. After explaining that we needed a ticket for our job (which was only mentioned because we were aware that we were being overcharged) they instead offered to give me ticket for the amount we paid but instead of beer they listed a whisky, which was the only amount that matched the overpriced beers that they were trying to charge us. We paid and left. Hope that the owner takes appropriate measures to prevent this scam...
