Great if you are staying here for a while and want fresh produce / vegetables, but for a pure tourist, it's just a small covered market.
It has some notoriety as in the war it was bombed twice and it has a "Sarajevo Rose" towards the back of the market, but the paint is faded and the locals no longer bring attention to them.
Nearby and some of these reviews here are confusing the 2 places, is the indoor "Gradska tržnica Markale" which is the meat, cheese and eggs etc, it's close and an easy walk 3/4 mins.
People have even put pictures of Gradska tržnica Markale (the meat and cheese) here instead of on its own Google listing, lol
I think the meat and cheese market is a better place to visit, I'm biased as I like dried...
