OK so this is one of the best places in town and it is always crowded, but people change fast , you eat and leave, people don't sit long. So cevapi are very special dish that is extremely popular locally, it is something people eat often it's popular local food and also food that every tourist tries. If you never tried it definitely is something you wanna try unless you are a vegan. Cevapi are pieces of minced beef shaped like fingers grilled on fire in local popular bread called somun with onions and kaymak as a side dish if you want some cream to put on them. It is really good and the recipe and the mix of meat is slightly different in ingredients so even if it same food taste is different depending on location so people never get bored of eating them, you just change place 😂. Anyway this is a must , no thinking and Petica is one of those places that are in top 3 depending on who you ask. Meat is very good and it is one of the places that makes them from high quality meat without any additives. Go, sit, enjoy. If you don't like it...
Read moreThis place serves the Bosnian traditional meal ćevapi (grilled minced meat), which is found in many restaurants in Sarajevo, old town. We picked-up this place amongst many others based on the reviews, but we were really surprised & shocked by their service. Very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. She replied rudely " No!, it is reserved". We looked around shocked and disappointed/surprised. Eventually, we stepped out trying to understand what had just happened. Most people we met in Sarajevo were friendly, very social and spoke to us in English. This place was the only place where everyone seemed to avoid foreigners and spoke only their local language. Will never step a foot there even if they offer...
Read moreI tried the best rated cevapi places in Sarajevo and this was the best one out of them all. The meny is very simple and straightforward. The prices on drinks is actually lower than other places, which is a nice bonus. Now for the negatives.. It took quite some time for my dish to arrive, but it was very busy so it's understandable. My kajmak was ice cold, which cooled down my cevapi very fast, I would have preferred them to be hotter. Service was slow (but nice) due to packed place, and I wasn't pleased with the way the server dealt with the German tourists sitting next to me. They got very basic service, but I, who speak Bosnian, got better and more elaborate service. But at the end of the day, you go here for the food, not the experience, so it's still a very good rating in my book. ...
