Liked · The location is great, right next to all the trendy restaurants and bars, and within easy walking distance to the centre.||||Disliked · Air conditioners leaked puddles onto the floor, so we could not use them, resulting in two hot and uncomfortable nights.||||After the first night, we reported it to reception. They said it would be fixed. We came back that night to another puddle on the floor. Next morning, we thought it would be fair to get some compensation. First it was a flat 'no', and then some other excuses. Then the receptionist started to ask very specific questions, trying to catch us out before implying that we were lying.||||Manager got involved and would not accept any kind of compensation, despite THEIR facilities being dysfuctional. He also blamed us for not reporting the problem at 2 am. No one is going to realistically do that, especially as we would have had to phone a number on the door that only mentions 'phone for check in'. So, we wouldn't have even known that this was an option in the first place.||||They did move us to another room for our final night, which is the bare minimum, and doesn't really make up for the two very bad nights previous.||||So, accusing guests of lying about broken air conditioners, interrogating us on 'if we were using them properly as they only work at a specific temperature', and then blaming us for not phoning for a repair at 2 am.||||Very bad attitude by the receptionist, and the management. They need to own up to their facilities not working. We paid a lot per night, and only wanted one night's money back. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the rooms have all you require to self cater ...and there is air con. Set in a quieter street but only a short walk to the main eating and socialising area. We arrived by motorcycle on a very hot day and there was street parking available directly outside, but what made our stay very special was the hospitality we received from Aneta on arrival. She suggested that we take the bike into the reception area overnight but my bike was too heavy and large unfortunately, she also helped us carry our luggage to the room and then we chatted for a while after...her English is perfect .
