Canmore Mountain Market — Attraction in Alberta

I LOVE this market, and its been a 5 star every year before... but the Mala food's lady does not fit the spirit of the Canmore farmer's market. My boyfriend and I are autistic, and it's hard to say "no" or even process and react to what is happening to us sometimes. We got aggressively pressured into spending $22 on 2 doughnuts by a lady that bragged about how she is a wealthy realtor and can sell anything to anyone with the power of her words. She told us that because she "loved us," $22 was a deal that only we could get (there were no prices listed to say otherwise). She talked about how she wanted to "feed the world" and how us buying doughnuts helped her with that. She didn't give us a chance to say no, and used confusing language that made it unclear if she was going to give us a sample. Before we knew it, we paid and had two doughnuts we didn't even want! They were so greasy they gave me and my boyfriend a sick stomach. She said that she fried them for 15 minutes each, so maybe thats why. We both threw half out, even though we spent money we couldn't afford to throw away. I wouldn't really care so much about that if it didn't feel like she was taking advantage of our vulnerability. My boyfriend and I both look visibly autistic. I wish we were rude and walked away.

Hello Canmore Mountain Market,I have had the pleasures of attending The lovely Thursday Market every chance I get, As I am a residence at Banff. I can honestly say there are so many lovely vendors I have met and Still Visit when I can, So I can have a nice visit and get some of the wonderful things these amazing hard working vendors bring for Everyone to Enjoy. I just read the review before me about Mala Foods by Jenna Lutz I haven't ever been so upset that someone would even think of Margarita The Kind women who drives all the way from Edmonton Each Week To attend our mountain markets, As I had the pleasures of meeting her in Banff Market Bringing us amazing delicious Asian Food. She is a very kind hard working soul and wouldn't ever hurt anyone or force them. I will CONTINUE to support Margarita as she's been attending our markets for 3 years and lots of people love her...
