Just had a deplorable experience as a customer to the ski service shop. In comparison of ski service offerings I confirmed the price of the desired service as posted on the service menu as a $50 grind\edges sharpen\wax. Presented myself and skis to the service counter. Initially all was proceeding well until I was told the cost was $65. I challenged the price discrepancy by the directing the staff to review the website price menu for the service I was seeking. At which point the service tech became argumentative. Essentially his insolent attitude was do not believe my lying eyes. Escalation to shop manager was not satisfactory as his ability to manage even basic customer facing issues is demonstrably poor. I asked to speak with his superior. After some minutes of fumbling to find a phone number he should have on hand I was placed in conversation with Mr. Russell. A productive conversation was held. Mr Russell expressed a progressive attitude towards customer service and offered steps to resolution. I thanked him yet declined his offer There are other shops with known tact and skill in providing satisfactory customer service. I will not pay money or recommend the shop for your needs. You may have a better customer...
Read moreThe store has a good selection of items, but the staffs are very poorly trained, pretending they know what they are talking about, misleading and not caring about customers if they can't sell. I have a pair of snowboard boots purchased 8 months ago, still within the warranty. Its boa lace was broken and I took it to them. The staffs there refused to do anything, claiming "it's a manufacturing warranty and you have to contact the manufacturer". However, the manufacturer i.e. K2, told me the dealer were supposed to take the boots in and contact them on my behalf to arrange for a replacement or repairing. In short, if you are a novice, buying entry level stuff and not worrying about warranty issues, it's a good place to get you going. But just don't count on future servicing from them if anything goes wrong. I would never deal with them again personally. There are better place in town with much...
Read moreIv'e shopped here for a few years and usually is good products, decent service, and decent prices. Recently they did a terrible job on a ski tune. A couple months ago, I got a full tune on my skis, they obviously did a base grind but the rest of the tune was either very poor or they missed doing altogether, edges still very rough, dry wax still on base. I hand tuned and waxed it after and the difference was night and day, the dry wax came off and the edges turned out sharper and more consistent. What a poor job on the tune and for $68 more expensive than competitors like sport check, there's better pro tune shops for this price, it was a terrible service and will not return for ski tuning. Other products perhaps, still willing to...
