Very disappointed in my boyfriend and i’s first experience here. We were told great reviews about this place and decided we wanted to come and try it out. When we first arrived on a Sunday it was very busy(which is understandable) but it was extremely hot in the place. We went to the front desk and the girl who had approached us wasn’t very friendly and was rushing to stop talking to us and get us started as fast as possible. She didn’t explain to us anything and every time we had asked her a question she gave us very bland responses. Took us about 2 hours to get halfway done and then they had closed. They told us we were able to come back any day and time of the week to finish our paintings up. We returned on a Thursday night and after about 20 minutes of us searching for our unfinished paintings we saw one of ours and realized they had already put one of them in the kilms. As frustrated as we were we were keeping calm and friendly and then after waiting and searching for the other painting the one lady said she would call her boss and ask if we can redo them as one was put in the kilm while unfinished and the other one was lost and we were still never able to find it. We asked the lady if she could ask her boss if they could give us a refund and she said she would ask without a problem. When she came back to us she said her boss said they don’t do refunds and could only give us a credit. Very frustrating, as we should be able to get our money back for THEIR mess up. These paintings are not cheap and so i am very frustrated that they will not give me my money back and saying we can come back to redo our paintings. I want my money back and i believe that if they mess up they should give us our money back. We will now have to come back and make our moneys worth now since they won’t give my money back. Very...
Read moreFound out about Crankpots through their “sale” on Groupon. Just for starters there literally is no sale or deal, on Groupon it says the ticket price is originally $55 and it’s on “sale” for $33 but you pay the price difference in store. Which is cash or etransfer only btw.
It is obviously an intentional effort for misleading advertising cause you can’t pick a $55 piece with the Groupon, and of course this isn’t explained to you until AFTER you’ve picked the piece you want to paint. On the first day me and my husband went the two workers there were not very knowledgeable about their cash register so it took about 10 minutes to pay for our pieces and the one girl training the new girl was constantly complaining about the owner and how many shifts she was getting. It would have been easy to ignore her if the complaining wasn’t nonstop.
On the second day we booked our appointment over the phone but when we arrived to paint at noon we were then told we would only have 2 hours to paint like ????? tell me that when I book the appointment so I can choose a different day and not randomly get a time limit when I arrive.
Also the brushes make any type of detail work impossible and only after we finished, and another table was complaining about the brushes were we told by an employee that there was better brushes by the register that are available for use….okay but how could we have known that? I didn’t even initially see them. If you don’t finish painting on the first day your piece goes in a random drawer around the room and you have to find yourself when you come back to complete. You have to make an appointment for literally everything and sometimes they just don’t answer the phone. I liked how my mushroom house turned out but a medium sized piece chipped...
Read moreIt’s been a while since this whole thing happened but I’m just finally getting around to writing about it. Last November(2024) my friend and I went into the studio and picked out some pieces, my friend then went in a few weeks later to get our finished pieces and they let her know that they didn’t have my mug because they accidentally gave it to someone else who had called and told them they got the wrong piece. We were told the studio would follow up with the other people to try to get my mug back and after a few weeks of waiting we went back to ask, they said they were still waiting to follow up but they could offer us a voucher or a refund. Neither were given. I few months later I went in again after still hearing nothing and still no refund and I asked again for them to contact the other people and give my my refund, they were rude and dismissive basically saying it’s not their problem. I wrote down my email because they only do e-transfer and never received my refund. It’s been months now and I’ve been to busy and honestly just so frustrated and upset with the whole situation that I haven’t gone back in. The most upsetting part to me is how hard I worked on my mug just for them to not care about it and claim it’s not their problem. Crank pots if you read this I want my refund. And if by some miracle the person who has my mug is readying this it is a round grey mug with green and brown hearts on it, this would have been around the end of November so if you have a mug that fits that description and it’s not one you painted it would mean the world to me to get it back. Overall I’m extremely disappointed with the whole situation and I would absolutely...
