After all of the 5⭐️ reviews i truly wanted to enjoy this place as much as it seemed others did. It was an absolute mess and absolute none sense . I came in with my toddler, on Wednesday morning, who sat next to me because she wanted to have a sweet moment with me as she wanted to visit montreal with me and a few of family friends. Even my toddler found the nails horrible.
They tell you its 45$ for a set on their booking service but it turns out to be 60$ because you want to add nail polish and the only nail polish they show you is gel. Only if you ask, they will tell you its 50$ for regular polish but they wont tell you that unless you ask. They should be clear about their services and offer you to look at all of the polishes and not only gel polish. Do not get me wrong, I have already paid 90$ for nails that were out of this world ! 60$ is nothing if the nails are of great quality and done with professionalism which was lacking incredibly in this salon.
Their job is entirely messy and not even. Some nails are fine when others are in another shape (I asked for almond and some of my nails are literally sharp stilettos). the nail polish is not even done evenly or cleanly. its literally everywhere on my fingers. The nails arent the same lenght and some are thicker than others.
the lady didn’t even finish doing my nails when she upped and left to another customer, my hands still in the uv machine. And when she was doing my nails she was looking at other customers and trying to see what was going on with her coworkers and chatting with them. Other clients were upset about their nails the day I came in to get mines done and rightfully so (something about nail polish and rudeness I overheard).
I wondered if it wasn’t odd that this place had a perfect 5/5 as a rating…and IT WAS. This place only has 5 ⭐️ because the manager comes up to you and tells you to write a good review and you’ll benefit of a 5$ discount. if your salon is actually good and worth 5 ⭐️ then you shouldn’t have the need to bribe your clients with a 5$ discount. The manager/owner even told me that he would rather give the discount to his clients than pay another company to write fallacious reviews ( meaning that if he didn’t have a choice, he’d pay a company that would write bot reviews to make his ratings go high). He also asked me and this other client to pay in cash so that he wouldn’t have to pay taxes on it and told me I should be more mindful next time I come by! Absolutely unbelievable. he would be rude to his workers and even cussed a couple of times because of small things. I tipped the nail technician because even if the job was absolutely rubbish I didn’t want to be rude. I declined kindly the offer of the 5$ discount because i would rather value a real review than a fake review BRIBED and BOUGHT for 5$ discount. I then explained my in-satisfaction to the manager and he gaslight me entirely in front of all his workers including the clients and my own child.
I would never go back. I would never pay such amount of money for a bad service and quality of nails. It was simply an awful experience and now i regret tipping the lady who done did my nails.
I came in from out of town and will never come back and will not suggest this salon to anyone. I would give it a 0 but...
Read moreUPDATE: I was quickly contacted by Felix the manager after I posted my review. He apologized for my bad experience and gave me a full refund! Errors and bad experiences can always happen, even at the best establishments, but what makes the whole difference for me is how those situations are handled. Thank you!
Very disappointed in both the nails and customer service. After a week of getting acrylic nails here, I lost two of them. I called to ask to get them fixed as per their “week insurance” which they agreed to do. I came to my fixing appointment today and once I told them I came to get my nails fixed and the name of who did the set, they told me they are all busy and that I should come back tomorrow. I mentioned I had an appointment and then they told me they could help me but I had to wait 25 min. While I waited, she came again and told me nobody knew how to do ombré nails (really?) and that I should come back tomorrow. I can’t come back tomorrow that’s what I made an appointment for today. Finally, I tell her that they can do one simple natural color; no ombré, so I can at least get my nails somewhat fixed. She proceeds to tell me they were all busy and to come back tomorrow. It looks to me like nobody wanted to fix my nails because they were not the ones that did the original set, which I find totally unacceptable. If that its their policy they should have told me when I made the appointment. Now I wasted time and money coming back to the salon for nothing. I’d really like to get at least a...
Read moreI visited this salon for a pedicure last week while vacationing in Montreal and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. The technician removed my entire cuticle rather than trimming it, causing significant pain. Despite my requests to stop and visible discomfort, she continued, leading to immediate redness and inflammation around my toenails in both feet. I asked to end the service, as I was no longer comfortable proceeding.
When I calmly requested an antiseptic like Polysporin to prevent infection (I've had a bad experience with a nail infection in the past and wanted to be proactive), the technician instead placed my feet back into the used foot bathwater and raised her voice at me. A manager (or someone in a supervisory role) came over, and when I explained the situation, he touched my inflamed, bleeding nail beds with his bare hands. When I asked if he could wear gloves, he rolled his eyes, which I found both unprofessional and concerning given the situation. The technician continued to raise her voice at me, protesting that she did nothing wrong. Despite the clear issues, they still expected payment, which I found baffling considering (1) I requested they stop service, and (2) I was disrespected and physically hurt by their staff.
Unfortunately, within a week, both of my big toe nails have developed infections and I will have to go on antibiotics. I’m very disappointed with the unhygienic practices and the rude, dismissive behaviour of the staff. I would not recommend this...
