Read moreI recently visited the Shipyards with some friends, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We were excited to try out the various food and drink options available, but we left feeling underwhelmed.
Firstly, we ordered a round of Caesars, expecting a classic, flavorful drink with a decent kick. However, what we received was far from it. The drinks had barely any alcohol, making them taste more like watered-down tomato juice than anything else. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality.
The food didn't fare any better. We tried a variety of dishes, hoping to enjoy some unique and tasty bites. Sadly, every item we sampled lacked any distinct flavor. The nachos were bland, with a lack of seasoning and barely any toppings, while the burgers were dry and tasteless, almost as if they had been sitting out for too long. Nothing stood out in a positive way.
The atmosphere of the market itself was lively and enjoyable, but it didn't make up for the lackluster food and drinks. Given the market's popularity and the high expectations we had, it was a letdown. I hope they can improve the quality of their offerings in the future, but based on my recent visit, I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreI love hanging around this place even on a normal day or weekend. Nice sea breeze and breathe that fresh air and enjoy a fabulous view of the Vancouver Skyline. There are lots of places to sit including muskoka chairs to take in the view and enjoy a relaxing day. Plenty of restaurants around the plaza including coffee shops, and there's a food court as well. You can also find picnic tables with umbrellas beside the dock. Didn't know there was a night market today. It's free, unless you want to go to the area where there's a live band playing. But you can hear and watch from outside the fenced area anyways. Lots of food to choose from whether you're in the mood for bbq, tacos, pretzels, corn on the cob or pop corn. Overall the atmosphere is very festive and fun! There's also lots of restaurants along Espelanade Ave or Lonsdale Ave and other side streets. I highly recommend this place! It's definitely one of...
