Wow!!! Patisserie la Chouquette is a truly rare find in Quebec City. Its simple and minimalist decor perfectly highlights the most important aspect: the quality and sophistication of its creations. Amazing and complex flavors, surely crafted with premium ingredients. It's clear that the fresh fruits, rare high-quality chocolates, and the expertise of the team cannot be compared to the industrial products of their competitors. This is not a franchise where you just eat whatever and get out fast...if you like this, you are on the wrong place for sure!

The prices are amazingly low. For such high quality, you would expect to pay much more, but that's not the case here. The coffees and lemonades are the perfect as well. I had a lemonade with lavender that surprised me. The open kitchen is also a show in itself. Watching the chefs at work ensures total transparency and demonstrates a great deal of confidence in their craft. Sorry but I don't have photos. I ate before I could grab my phone! I had no time to waste!!! La Chouquette is a pleasant surprise in a world of bakeries that are often predictable and...

Absolutely fantastic pastries and cakes! This place is definitely worth to stop at while you’re in Quebec City. Even if you’re not into desserts, they also offer a wide selection of other pastries!

The chouquettes are bite (or 2 bites ;) sized and are topped with cream and filled with filling. The crust is soft with a hint of crunchiness, and the cream along with the filling offers the perfect combination of sweetness, crunchiness, and flavour.

The Mille-Feuille is very delicious as well. With multilayered crust along with cream fillings in between, the combination really brings out the buttery and sweetness of this treat.

Lastly, the pistachio eclair was wonderful and filled with rich and smooth pistachio cream along with raspberry jam, a classic combo that cannot be beaten.
