This is a 3.5 place, honestly.
I could tell that the place used to be extremely cute before Corona, but now it's a tad bit bare with desks piled up next to the pretty window. A single small slice of cake costed 10$, and though I did not order a cake, my friend made a face when she ate it and told me that it tasted like "mint, peach, and wood mixed together."
Note: They did not even ask if we needed forks, nor did we remember to ask them, so my friend had to eat it by hand. Partially our fault, but a good thing to know for the future.
I ordered a tiramisu latte, and to my disappointment, it was just a plain latte. There are two cookies on top of the latte with some cream covered in coco powder, but that was it.
Nothing really struck me as special about this place. There are a ton of other places which have much better cakes at a cheap price.

Read moreI would like to say they have the best desserts in Vancouver. My bf always brings their cakes to me when he finished his job so I almost tried all of the desserts that they are serving currently. Their macaron impressed me when I took the first bite, especially their sugar level was adjusted to better match. The strawberry macaron is my fav! Other shops' real strawberry fillings are kind of sour to me but First Bite is using Korean strawberries that's the main reason which I never feel sour when I eat it. ppl can see they r making efforts on their work and the shop is just into their startup step so give them extra time to improve and be mature is indeed reasonable. Moreover, their products are settled for a fair price so pls check other dessert shops' prices before u say they are expensive. Keep Going...
Read moreBought a slice of cake for pickup and was shocked when I opened the box - the cake size is .... surprisingly tiny. I was really shocked by the size and this is my first time being shocked. I used to go to other places for cake many times in Richmond and tasted many of them. I truly can't convince myself to accept this cake at First Bite.
The cake you choose at the front is not what you receive eventually. They packed the cake in the kitchen and gave me the box. I was initially curious about it why they didn't pick the cake from the front glass cabinet as showing, as other places did like that, and now I understand why.
It is ok for the business to honestly show the tiny cake and pack them for their filtered customers. I just don't like this kind of surprise, as it fools...
