We took our 5-year-old twin boys to mass for the first time on Wednesday. They loved it. They were eager to say every prayer correctly and do the sign of the cross just right. Did they have a hard time sitting still at times? Yes. But after Mass was over they went outside and sat on the front steps with glazed over looks on their faces-- processing what they just experienced. A beautiful church that do amazing things, but I believe that not only this church but the majority of the churches in Saskatoon are turning a blind eye to the homelessness situation over 1500 people that are homeless and these facilities all have space where they could house them overnight but it’s not being done.
