This art store is tucked away with a back lane entrance. Parking can be challenging as it’s downtown but we luckily snagged a street parking spot. If you look at the photos and google maps you can find it at the back, the building looks as described.
There’s something about this cute little art store that is quaint and sunny. It’s got quite a bit of natural light and reminds me of entering an art studio when you’re excited to get to work on a new project.
They have many brands of products available, and there was only one missing from my collection (Sennelier watercolours) but I appreciated the large collection of Holbein (gouache, acrylic gouache, acrylic, paint brushes). They have very large watercolour selection which made my heart happy.
The staff was very friendly and helpful for recommendations and helping me find what I was looking for.
They have an extensive variety of papers, pads blocks all organized according to price and quality. A larger variety than you’re going to find at other stores that’s for sure.
As far as prices go it’s pretty standard to market, and as artists we know we get what we pay for. They do offer discounts for art memberships but I do not yet have one.
