Great Resort, Beautiful, But very dangerous walk to Blue Mountain Village, and no coffee!

Liked · This is a beautiful hotel/resort. The rooms are very large and well kept / well equipped. It feels like a resort condo, there is a front door and back door that backs onto the lake, pools and playground. Very lovely hotel, only two complaints / concerns.

Disliked · Only two things: 1) the hotel only gives you enough coffee for one pot. Really strange. I went to the front desk to ask for another coffee pouch, as we were staying for two nights and I wanted coffee for the second morning, and they flat out said no. Please note, there is no coffee shop on the premises. I suggested that perhaps I could purchase another bag of coffee, as I really could not be bothered to purchase an entire drip coffee from Tims or Starbucks in the village, we don't even use it at home, nope, not allowed to purchase it either. I'm not sure why this is the policy, but coffee matters, esp in the morning and esp when there is no other source onsite and esp when you have two kids under 5 years old! so that really affects the comfort in my opinion, it's also a bizzare way to save like $0.10 / day for the hotel. Just charge your guests and extra $1 / night and supply the coffee, trust me it would be much preferred. 2) I can get over the coffee, if I ever stay at the Hilton Blue Mountain again, I'll just bring my own, but the second concern I don't know if I can get past - the walk to Blue Mountain Village is so incredibly dangerous, esp. after dinner when it's dark out. Sure it's a short walk, about

I stayed here for a night in mid-September for a golf trip, and was happy with the room and amenities, which were great. The service I received, however, was anything but. I was staying in a building which consisted of four large units, two on the ground floor and two upstairs. The majority, if not all of the resort, seemed to be laid out in a similar fashion, including the building next to mine, which was closed for extensive renovations. There were signs up apologizing for the noise, which I only caught the tail-end of because I arrived fairly late in the afternoon. So far, not a big deal. However, when I woke up in the morning I discovered a nail from the construction site lodged in my front right tire, and a subsequent slow leak. When I brought this to the attention of the woman working the reception desk (whose name unfortunately I forgot to take down) I received nothing but suspicion and apathy. I asked if the hotel would be willing to offer a discount on the price of the room to offset the cost of fixing the tire, at which point she retreated to the back office to call the manager. After a brief call which seemed to consist mostly of loud laughter, she returned to brusquely state that “we don’t offer compensation for that kind of thing” and “there are signs warning about the construction”. When I pointed out that the signs were apologizing for the noise, not warning about stray construction materials or saying “park at own risk”, I got a blank stare and a shrug. I had (perhaps naively) thought that a $400/night room fee might get me a sincere apology at the very least, but this was not the case. In fact, I barely got one at all. It seems that the Hilton chain has gone the way of the rest of the world, i.e. once they have your money, they no longer care about your experience or customer-retention. So for anyone thinking of staying here, PARK AT OWN RISK, and don’t be expecting anything as traditional as...

RATING IS EQUAL TO ZERO STARS.

I cannot begin to explain how disappointed my family and I were when the General Manager, Melissa, refused to charge our Tesla SUV. It was a rainy afternoon on September 1st 2018 and we had 18kilometres left in our charge. This experience and her demeanor, attitude and especially her lack of hospitality towards a family who needed assistance, has left us appalled and wondering what has happened to the warmth and welcoming experience that is to be expected of not only guests visiting the Blue Mountains, but the conduct of Canadians in general. Our navigation system in our vehicle had directed us to this location for a charge-up. There were no other Tesla's using this charger and we required 4 hours to get enough charge to get home on September 1st 2018. Melissa the General Manager for this resort looked me straight into my eyes and said that this location did not come up on my GPS. I was called a liar in front of two front desk associates. Melissa then proceeded to tell me that she will not approve this request for a charge and she would not help us out. Upon hearing this I had to ask her to repeat her decision, which she did. My family and I left with the most sour experience one could have possibly gotten in these circumstances. I would like to thank Melissa the General Manager at Embarc Blue Mountain for exposing the true nature of her understanding of what it means to be Hospitable. The General Manager of any establishment must be the number one example to employees and an outstanding addition to the company that employs and enables them to provide for the ones they love. This General Manager, Melissa, has shown my family and I what to expect at a resort we will NEVER consider staying at. We decided to stay at the Westin Trillium. I expect to receive an...

Nice resort within a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mountain village (across from the main road, near the Westin). Kitchenette has everything you need to make simple meals: fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, cutlery and dishes (does not have a full stove or oven). Bathroom is very roomy with large soaker tub and full shower. Balcony is quite large with 2 Muskoka chairs and a hammock. The room was quite spacious for two people and clean and maintained. There are two pools and two hot tubs (one of each is adult only). They seemed to be maintained well, except for some guests who left a bit of garbage behind. The club house area seems comfortable to hang out in if the weather is not great. Overall, it was a restful place to relax, although it was empty when we were there (Sunday). At peak times, I think it would feel crowded, especially the pool areas as they are not huge, but you do have a couple of areas to choose where to sit. The price was quite a bit lower than places right in the village.

2 night stay in middle of the week. Quiet and restful just as doctor asked.

The location of Hilton Blue Mountain is great—just seven minutes from the village. Miss Sue was very welcoming and explained everything about the hotel, local activities, and the shuttle service, which we appreciated. Hotel is great for families However, our stay was disappointing. The room (613) looked spacious and clean at first, but sleeping was uncomfortable. The sheets were polyester, the mattress was broken, and the AC was turned off for the season without informing us, leaving us in the heat all night. When we tried to open the terrace door for ventilation, we found it was broken and couldn’t be closed properly. Caroline reached out for feedback, but when we mentioned the issues, she simply asked why we hadn’t reported them earlier. We expected Hilton’s usual high standards, but this stay felt more like a basic two-star hotel experience. The only compensation offered was a one-hour late checkout (until 11 a.m.), which wasn’t enough to make up for the discomfort.
