I really love road trip especially day trip. I can choose a destination not too far away from home, spend some time in the destination, and drive back in one day. Recently, I have been to Blue Mountain Village. Blue Mountain is located just two hours northwest of Toronto where people can do outdoor adventure, hiking in a beautiful trails, zip lining, canoeing, etc in the summer with the stunning scenery. In the winter, people can ski, cross country ski, tobogganing and more. And of course, not to mention the eateries, they have tons of restaurants and cafes. People can sit at the outdoor patio enjoy the best view and meals. Featured here is one of the best cafes in Blue Mountain village. They serve up the finest lattes, loose organic tea, ice cream and much more. S’mores latte is one of their signature hot beverages that you must try. This was a great latte that they topped with lots of fabulous ingredients - burnt marshmallow, thin layer of graham cracker crumbs, chocolate Oreo toffee rim and whip cream. It has all my favourite treats. It is a great option for cold days to warm you up. I highly recommend this drink to everyone who love s’mores. Thanks @royalmajestyespresso for this wonderful drink and very...
Read moreWhat a nice cozy spot! We ordered a classic Belgian hot chocolate and a vegan lava cake! The barista made the wrong drink for us and when we corrected her, she bounced back and pushed that order to another customer and made our drink. Bravo! The hot chocolate was really smooth and didn’t taste powdery, just a nice quality hot chocolate! The vegan lava cake was served warm and when we cut into it, it oozed out its chocolatey goodness. It was great! I had also tried their skinny matcha shake (I forgot to take a photo) but it didn’t taste very matcha-like and was a bit of a disappointment. I do think that they need some more seating. I’m sure that there are days that are really slow, but I saw a lot of hustle and bustle when I visited! The decor is sweet and simple, but the price is a little high. There is a blue mountain tax hidden at all shops and restaurants at this destination spot, so that took me off guard. Otherwise, very nice place to grab a hot drink and a treat after hitting...
Read moreStopped by here doing a drive to Blue mountain to check out the village given its been a few years. Notwithstanding I expected to be gouged, the prices still shocked me. Ordered the Belgium hot chocolate for myself and my girlfriend. I saw there were two prices, one for a large and regular. Asked for a regular, they charge me a large. Bill comes to $16 for two large hot chocolates. Well, I figure it might be at least good, nah. Order gets forgotten, so we wait whilst people behind us get their items ahead. Finally we receive our hot chocolates and they are meh. Too much cinnamon, too sweet, not enough chocolate character. I think one can make a better hot chocolate at home. What a disappointment.
In a nutshell: signficantly overpriced, inferior products with long wait. Although they will continually get away with it with visitors because there are limited to no options for quality cafe beverages within blue...
