Key points: Drinking machine are locked around 10pm. Not sure why this theatre is being this cheap, but you should be prepared to get all your refills before they lock the machines. No staff visible on site after 10pm, so if you have questions, good luck LOL Parking is discounted at $5 for Monday to Thursday after 4pm. But you need to grab a second discounted voucher from the customer service and/or the customer service's table when there is no staff available. Insert of the credit card and parking ticket is the same slot, dont wait, otherwise the machine would engulf the discounted voucher, and spit out the parking ticket only if you take too long and you would require to pay the full price LOL. Full story below: First of all, why is the drinking machine locked up way before the movie ends? I was trying to get some water and I saw that all drinking machine was locked by 10pm already, as staff are leaving already. Parking discount was super confusing. No customer service staff was visible on site at the time of the movie was finished (11pm), thank god, there was a cleaning lady who I was able to ask this question. She pointed at a small corner at the customer service desk, and there are discounted parking tickets just laying on that desk. Nobody informed us that parking tickets and credit card go into the same slot at the parking exit, and the slot end up only spitting out our parking ticket but not the discounted ticket after the transaction was not completed in time. I had to get upstairs and get another ticket to do this whole thing all over again. Overall, just confusing and...

I have attended this theatre many times, and the experience is always depending on the day. For the most part it's fine, and the cast members are usually very friendly and helpful. The food service is always good, and the popcorn is generally fine, never burnt. The last time I attended a movie here it was absolutely AWFUL. The air conditioning wasn't working in the theatre that they had our movie in, and they didn't even verbally inform us, just put out signs that said "no A/C in theatres 1 and 4 - sorry". They didn't offer to refund our tickets if we wanted, they didn't offer a discount on concessions, they didn't offer free drinks or free re-fills - NOTHING. It was about 35 degrees outside that day, and by the end of the movie it was definitely more than that in the theatre. It was a terrible experience, and honestly it was pretty reckless of them because people with health conditions (such as low blood pressure, specific heart conditions, etc) could have absolutely fainted or had a medical emergency due to how hot it was in the theatre. You could tell they just didn't care. Really unfortunate. Cineplex sent me a survey about the experience and I wrote the same thing to them, and they have not contacted me. I guess they do not care because they have a monopoly on the market in Canada... Usually this theatre is fine, but this one experience was awful. Will avoid going to this theatre again...

Positives - Amazing IMAX cinema experience! I watched Avatar: The Way of Water a day after Boxing Day in December 2022 and it was the ideal movie for the IMAX 3D experience. Lots of food and snack options as well. Drop-off lane in front of entrance for those coming by car.

Negatives - Mainly related to parking and the reason I reduced one star from the rating:

(1) Cinema parking was expensive ($6 per hour). The parking entrance is next to the cinema entrance but I could see that it had limited capacity and could fill up easily during regular days. The cinema validates parking tickets only for shows after 4 pm Monday-Thursday and all day on Sundays. No ticket validation on Fridays and Saturdays. I don't get the logic for these time slots.

(2) The cinema telephone number doesn't have the option to get info on parking or otherwise get directed to a human operator. Only recorded messages that mostly direct callers to the Cineplex website; pretty pointless having a telephone number if that's all it does.

(3) Cinema staff didn't know that there was direct elevator access to the underground parking, which would be important info for customers needing wheelchair access.

Overall I still enjoyed it for the true IMAX experience and would visit again for true big-screen...

First time watching a movie at this theater. It is quite large with 14/15 screening rooms. We watched The Matrix Resurrections pre-screening on December 16th. The whole building was decked out to give it a Matrix themed feel it was really well done. Theatre seating was at 50% capacity so it didn’t feel crowded and we were able to keep a safe distance from everyone. Getting into the theater was a bit crowded but everyone was masked and once you got into the room it was fine. The screens are a good size and the sound system is good as well. There is underground parking in the same building which is convenient. PARKING TIP: DO NOT PAY AT THE KIOSKS. PAY AT THE EXIT GATE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD. We made the mistake of paying at the kiosk and then tried to exit the parking lot but because there was a huge line of cars trying leave, it took us 45min to make it to the exit gate after the show and ended up having to pay the parking fee twice because we took too long to get out. Or better yet, don’t drive. Since we were coming from outside the city we unfortunately had to drive.

Update 4: Mission impossible: Final reckoning IMAX 20 mins late start to watch ads. People should start coming in at 2:45 PM to force theatres to start on time. I pay to watch the movie, not ads. ------------------------------------ Update 3: Alien Romulus Still 20 mins of ad. You're embetter off arriving 10 mins late. ------------------------------------ Update 2: Kong x Godzilla screening: 3:30 booking, movie started at 3:47. 15 mins of advertisement watching. Just show up 10 mins late and you won't miss a thing. ------------------------- Update: I went for the Napoleon afternoon screening. I had to watch good 25 minutes of advertisement for a movie stated to start at 3 PM. I understand advertisement before the screening time but way past that is like watching unskippable YouTube advert. Super annoying ------------------------- Great facility and massive screen. I went for Mission Impossible DR 1 and loved the action and surround system IMAX audio. Can't wait for Part 2.

Scotiabank Theatre Toronto 🎭 My first visit to Scotia IMAX Theatre, and as Nolan fans, we were thrilled to watch the movie "Openhimer" in IMAX. The experience was truly marvelous; the IMAX screen and the surrounding music system were of high quality. The recliner seating added to the comfort, making it an excellent viewing experience. It was fascinating to be in a place that hosted the Toronto Film Festival, a childhood, 😍dream come true. The interior work of the theater was impressive, and the vast area with almost 10 theaters was a sight to behold. We're already looking forward to our next movie night here. I appreciate that the theater is wheelchair accessible, and the washrooms were well-maintained. It was also convenient to have food courts inside for a quick bite. Overall, a great place for a movie night, and I highly recommend it to others.
