The Stop's Farmer's Market — Attraction in Toronto

The Wychwood Barns Farmers' Market is one of the best in the city. Great organic produce at this time of year. We bought russet apples, heirloom tomatoes and eggs. We've already eaten half the russets; they're my fave apples. The market runs each Saturday, outside in the spring-fall, indoors during the winter. You'll find bread, cheese, fish & seafood, meat, Forbes wild foods (amazing forest mushroom selection) as well as vendors with beeswax candles, clothing and even jewelry. With the artist live-work studios in one of the former streetcar barns, there's always something to take in at this spot, even a community art gallery. This is an excellent Saturday market. The produce is excellent, particularly the vendors who attract small line-ups. Also check out the Fisherfolk for excellent fresh and frozen fish - rainbow trout and yellow perch are standouts.

Great market. However the neighbours are very inconsiderate. I drive to the market and the neighbours deem it necessary to call the police to issue parking tickets. I’m only parked for 10-15minutes to spend $200 to support the independent farming community. Wake up neighbourhood even the parking authorities who I talked to find this behaviour...
