Dilly Dally is hands down our favourite store! We live an hour away from the store, but we often plan a special outing once in awhile to go to Dilly Dally, visit the playground close by, and get gelato on Commercial. When we can't visit, we regularly order at least once month from their online store. I'm always amazed when my packages get delivered the next day or two after I order. Their book collection is my favourite in the whole city. They carry a lot of specialty brands we collect (Grimm's, Grapat, Maileg, Schleich, Folkmanis, Candylab, Connetix, Ambrosius, etc) and I can't tell you how fantastic it is to have a store close by to actually see some of these items in person. Our wish list from Dilly Dally is a mile long right now probably because of that! Sometimes items are out of stock, but the website is very reliable in emailing you when it comes back if you make sure to enter your email for a notice. Surprisingly, this is one of the few places I enjoy subscribing to their email newsletters because it always highlights fantastic toys. We recently had an issue with a toy we ordered online (manufacturer error), and we were amazed by Dilly Dally's fast response and how they resolved it, they went over the top to correct the issue. Their customer service is bar none which is what compelled me to come and write a review (something I rarely do). Read moreI have to say that this store is incredible. This now, for incredibly knowledgeable, once you're talking to them and they are so attentive, the quality of the toys is so good and so engaging for the kids
We have come twice this week to get toys for my son and the staff is good, super kind, and they remember you and I love that definitely an incredible place to shop
The one thing I will say coming from somebody who know works in customer service. The greetings and checking in on customers. It could be a little bit better, I noticed that when I come in, i'm not really getting greeted, or if I have a question, um, it's really hard to get the attention of the staff when they're tasking
And i'm also not the kind of person to really interrupt people or to use a loud voice in a public space to get someone's attention
So the only thing I'd say that could be worked on is just making sure they're looking up for their tasks to see if customers need help or checking in on them. And greeting

Some of the clerks are helpful but not so great at satisfying customer complaints. Something I bought was dirty when I removed it from the package upon returning home. It happens of course but I expected some understanding of the time and expense involved in me returning to the store to return the item. Beware. *Note: Response to owner: had you spoke to me directly and asked you would know that I already had phone conversations where little was offered. That's when the review was done. Only after I took more of my time and effort, did I hear back and was reminded about what a great deal I was being offered. I'll keep the dirty toy that I paid for.
