The recent renovations have breathed new life into this historic venue, transforming it into a state-of-the-art cinema while preserving its charming heritage. Watching the movie "IF" at this theatre was an unforgettable experience. The film was brilliantly showcased, making it evident that the theatre's upgrades were well worth the effort. The crisp sound and vibrant visuals made the movie come alive, creating a captivating cinematic experience.

The staff at the Vernon Towne Theatre deserve a standing ovation. Their dedication to providing excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere is evident in every interaction. They are the heart and soul of this establishment, ensuring every visitor feels like a valued guest.

The patrons of the theatre also contribute to the vibrant community atmosphere. Their enthusiasm and respect for the venue make each visit a pleasure. The presentation of "IF" was a testament to this, with everyone coming together to enjoy the film in a respectful and enjoyable manner.

In conclusion, the Vernon Towne Theatre is more than just a place to watch a movie - it's a cornerstone of the community, a gathering place for movie lovers, and a testament to the town's commitment to arts and culture. We came in tonight to see the secret life of pets 2. Immediately they charged us for 4 adults when we had 2 kids with us. Obviously children too, a 4 year old and a 7 year old. Then we ordered 3 popcorn combos and I asked for 1 tap water and the teller refused stating the cups are too expensive. Wouldn’t even charge us 25cents stated I had to purchase a bottle water. The paper towels were empty and the popcorn was burnt. Yes it’s cheaper then the other theatres not worth the price difference.

Response to response from owner: The staff didn’t fix the mistake until they were told and really didn’t care. If I hadn’t checked the receipt I would’ve been charged. The respond to the mistake was “oh that’s just the automatic button to push.” The fact your POS for inventory seems to disable you from basic customer service is still a problem regardless. It doesn’t change my review that with $31 in tickets and $25 of concession a glass of tap water shouldn’t have been an issue. I didn’t bring it up initially but since your response was very much a “didn’t do it, not my fault” I’m going to add the shows are crammed time wise so tight together the theatre isn’t cleaned in between. We wound up sitting next to bags and bags of garbage left on the...

Vernon Towne Theatre holds so many memories for me. I was a volunteer here for years while in university.

My first movie here was the Pokémon movie when I was eight or nine years old. My brother and his then-girlfriend took me to see it.

The first time I ever asked a woman to be my girlfriend was at the end of seeing a movie back in February 2014. We haven't spoken in eight years, but I still hold onto that memory.

My wife and I came here a couple times before her passing.

I love that it's a non-profit now. Anime nights, classic films, Clerks III, and so many other themed nights makes this a big piece of not just Vernon history, but also my personal life history.

I am glad the community rallied together to keep this movie theater alive.

A wonderful retro theatre right downtown conveniently located near tons of great restaurants. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The lobby has a real vintage/Art Deco look. Popcorn and drinks are reasonably priced. The movies change regularly so check the web site, FB page or their marquee. Every Monday it’s “Monday Night At The Arts” where the Okanagan Screen Arts shows a different film. This is complete with wine bar, music in the lobby prior to the first shops, and a brief, insightful pre-show introduction by a resident film maker.

Love this local theatre- and you will too. Run by a group of film lovers, great touches to the building and decor to give it that old feel! Go see movies here! Whether it’s the Monday night Arts and foreign films, the specials on Tuesday or a cheap matinee or first run! There’s something about a having a local theatre that is worth investing in. And a great concession too. Thanks for keeping it going Screen Arts!
