Read moreWe came in tonight to see the secret life of pets 2. Immediately they charged us for 4 adults when we had 2 kids with us. Obviously children too, a 4 year old and a 7 year old. Then we ordered 3 popcorn combos and I asked for 1 tap water and the teller refused stating the cups are too expensive. Wouldn’t even charge us 25cents stated I had to purchase a bottle water. The paper towels were empty and the popcorn was burnt. Yes it’s cheaper then the other theatres not worth the price difference.
Response to response from owner: The staff didn’t fix the mistake until they were told and really didn’t care. If I hadn’t checked the receipt I would’ve been charged. Read moreVernon Towne Theatre holds so many memories for me. I was a volunteer here for years while in university.
My first movie here was the Pokémon movie when I was eight or nine years old. My brother and his then-girlfriend took me to see it.
The first time I ever asked a woman to be my girlfriend was at the end of seeing a movie back in February 2014. We haven't spoken in eight years, but I still hold onto that memory.
My wife and I came here a couple times before her passing.
I love that it's a non-profit now. Anime nights, classic films, Clerks III, and so many other themed nights makes this a big piece of not just Vernon history, but also my personal life history.
I am glad the community rallied together to keep this movie theater alive.
