I am from out of Province but heard how fabulous Madeline and this business was , so being new to orthotics, I only wanted the very best.
I had been diagnosed 7 years ago with an autoimmune disease but my doctor died in his sleep before he could send me to Internal medicine. It took several(7) years of lightening speed complete deterioration of both hips, both knees, now hands and feet etc...and they just identified the autoimmune 3 weeks ago as.......Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had lost faith in any kind of life, or doctors finding out wth was going on inside my body. I was barely walking on good days and not at all on bad days until I met this Wonderful Professional, who trulycared about what was going on for me. The assessment was soooo thorough and Madeline asked all the right questions, even took some footage of my walking etc...etc. I felt cared for when I left her office but more than anything, she renewed faith I had lost. The first time I put on my orthotics ( so proudly, I must add), I needed to be on my feet for 7 hours.....Oh My......what an amazing feeling to be able to walk without constant pain. It felt like I was " walking tall", so much more erect and I felt good! I have finally found something that "I" could do for myself until I wait for several planned surgeries but I sure couldn't have had this kind of pain and pressure relief if I hadn't have met Madeline.
I promise you will not be disappointed. She IS thee Best of Victoria......a Keeper. Thank you Madeline...
Read moreAbout 3 years ago, I damaged my right knee. The knee surgeon says I am stuck with the way it is as there is no remedy for it. It means, I can’t straighten out my leg as I can with my left leg. It means I am in a permanent crouch position. In the last few months, I have developed plantar fasciitis which causes a pain in my heel. I felt I was crooked when I walked and didn’t feel grounded. I made an appointment with the expert at Common Sense Orthotics and after a thorough evaluation, in a week or so, I picked up a pair of custom insoles which I eagerly inserted into my shoes. As soon as I tried walking, I felt immediately a lot more stable. I’m 6’3” and quite lean, so I really noticed the difference when I walk. I am a regular walker that walks 14-16,000 steps a day so I really noticed the improvement in my stability. I realized that without a good foundation in my stance, which I now had, problems like my heel pain can develop. My pain has subsided, and I feel confident in my stance. Thank you Madeline and Common Sense Orthotics for giving me my stability back. No more...
Read moreI went to Common Sense Orthotics seeking a replacement for my old orthotics, and I also had concerns about some new aches and pains that had come up over time. I saw the owner, Madeline, and I received exceptional service! Madeline is kind, personable, extremely knowledgeable, meticulous and thorough. During both my biomechanical assessment and fitting, she took her time to provide me with the best possible care, answered all my questions and educated me about how to work with my unique anatomy. She ensured that every little detail with my orthotics was perfect and that I was entirely satisfied before I left. In addition, she went above and beyond to help me with my insurance coverage paperwork, which I greatly appreciated. She is truly an expert in her field, and it is clear she is passionate about helping people. In our rushed society, it is so nice to get ample time and attention, and to feel as if you matter. I am very happy with my new orthotics, and I am telling all of my family and friends to see...
