Plaza Galleries — Attraction in Whistler Resort Municipality

We were visiting Whistler from Victoria this past week and when we travel we always make it a priority to visit a local art gallery. I can say confidently that this one is one of our all time favourites. If you are planning on visiting Whistler, I highly recommend you take the time to go see the Plaza Gallery. The gallery was filled with vibrant, beautiful art from artists local and far. I was very impressed while viewing the different pieces on display. The sales associate that we spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly and she seemed to genuinely enjoy showing us different pieces and sharing information about those pieces and about the gallery with us. It was time well spent and next time we are back in Whistler we plan on coming back home with a piece or two from one of the talented local...

I really wanted to purchase a piece by Barak here, but sadly, the staff were exceptionally rude and dismissive. I politely asked for details to get items shipped to Vancouver, and without even looking up from the paper she was working on, she said "it varies" and that was the end of the conversation. When I asked about other pieces, I got similar answers, and that was that.

Honestly, just find the artist you like and reach out directly. They didn't want my business, and I shudder to think of what the experience would be if I had paid and had a piece...

We were in Whistler and happened to be looking in the galleries and we came across Plaza Gallery. We loved the art work in there and we found several pieces we liked.
