This is a fabulous well organized and well maintained museum showcasing the wonderful biodiversity of Chile. Owing to its unique geography Chile has several climatic and environmentally distinct regions each with its own separate ecosystem. This museum proves to succinctly describe the natural history of each region with eye catching displays including geographical maps, plant and animal exhibits, palaeontology remains and anthropological artifacts. The museum has free admission and is located in the Quinta Normal Park system that has other fascinating museums and attractions within its confines. Read moreThe museum of Natural History in Santiago, Chile is one of the best museums I have visited. It located in Parque de Quinta. You can take a metro just outside the park. The entry is free for everybody. When we visited they had huge Dinosaurs skeletons on display. It covers each & every geographic area of Chile giving all historical details. In the same park you have the railway museum showcasing old steam engines locomotive. You have to pay 900 pesos as entrance fees for railway museum.
