This is a fabulous well organized and well maintained museum showcasing the wonderful biodiversity of Chile. Owing to its unique geography Chile has several climatic and environmentally distinct regions each with its own separate ecosystem. This museum proves to succinctly describe the natural history of each region with eye catching displays including geographical maps, plant and animal exhibits, palaeontology remains and anthropological artifacts. The museum has free admission and is located in the Quinta Normal Park system that has other fascinating museums and attractions within its confines. Please be aware that with a few exceptions the written text to the museum's exhibits are solely in Spanish. The museum's restrooms were clean and well maintained. This museum and the surrounding park are well worth a visit when...

The museum of Natural History in Santiago, Chile is one of the best museums I have visited. It located in Parque de Quinta. You can take a metro just outside the park. The entry is free for everybody. When we visited they had huge Dinosaurs skeletons on display. It covers each & every geographic area of Chile giving all historical details. In the same park you have the railway museum showcasing old steam engines locomotive. You have to pay 900 pesos as entrance fees for railway museum. The kids would love to spend time in park's water sprinkler pool on warm afternoons. Overall a very good place to visit with family...

A big museum in the inner part of the big park not far from city center! The building looks so grand like a palace. The exhibition hall is tremendous to acoommodate a lot of big stuff! The route for visitors is clear. The details of Chile's climate and natural history are well displayed along the passage. One can really learn a lot about the country's natural environment! Yet the captions and instructions are all in spanish without English translation, which might be quite hard for international visitors. Nonetheless, it is very snug to walk inside and enjoy watching the...
