This is a terrific large multipurpose urban park that has something of interest for all ages and activity levels. The park has within its boundaries several museums including The Museum of Natural History, Museum of Contemporary Art and Museum of Science and Technology. These are all worth a visit to those that enjoy cultural and educational opportunities. The park has several playgrounds for children and playing fields for sports such as baseball. Within the park is a lagoon where one can rent paddle boats. There are numerous trails for walking, jogging or just sitting on one of the many park benches and enjoying the tranquility the park offers. It is a great place to walk your dog and watch the dogs interact with each other. The park is clean and well maintained by the city and there are public restrooms available to use for a nominal fee. All in all this is a great place to visit for tourists and...

This park is a family favorite.

First, it's huge and it feels like there are endless corners and playgrounds to explore. Second, there's always something to do...the handful of museums (some are free and others are a luca or two), a 'train' that takes you around the park ($1.000), the splash park, bike/trike rental ($150 a minute) and various kids activities like trampolines and watercolor painting (not free, but not expensive). Third, it's not a new park, so it's full of beautiful old trees and interesting architecture all around. Last, it's one of the easiest parks to get to; the metro dumps you out at the entrance, where you can grab some cheap street food before you...

Parque Quinta Normal is a serene and expansive park in Santiago, perfect for a relaxing day amidst nature. Once a private estate, it now offers lush green spaces, walking paths, and beautiful tree-lined avenues, making it ideal for picnics, jogging, or simply unwinding. The park is home to several museums, including the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural and the Museo de la Memoria, which adds cultural and historical depth to the experience. Its tranquil environment, combined with the surrounding architecture, makes Parque Quinta Normal a peaceful retreat in the midst of the...
