The beach is alright, it can get very very crowded on the weekends, but on weekdays you’ll be fine. The promenade is filled with people trying to sell necklaces, beach gear and other stuff. You can rent a sun umbrella and sun loungers. There is even a small cafe that sells food and drinks plus people walking on the beach with coolers that sell drinks and small snacks. Lovely beach in Vina del Mar with street markets as well as other vendors. This is a great place for an afternoon nap or a day trip to Vina del mar. It is chillier than you would expect (even in the summer) due to the wind, so I would definitely recommend a long sleeve shirt and light pants as well.
