El Imperio Peruano — Restaurant in Viña del Mar

We were a party of 4. Our drinks order was taken fairly quickly and then there was quite a wait for the waitress to return to take our meal order. I ordered the Picante de camarones and my wife ordered the Jalea. The restaurant was about 1/2 full yet it took for ever for the food to be served. With the first word in the name of my dish being picante, would it be unreasonable to expect the dish to be picante? Some overcooked shrimp in a seriously bland orange coloured sauce constitutes El Imperio Peruano's Picante de camarones. I asked for some hot sauce, salt and lemon, received 2 of the 3, added both and improved the dish to "OK." My wife's Jalea had tasty well cooked yucca as a base. The batter on the seafood was harsh, uneven and lumpy. The calamari rings were rubbery, the pulpo/octopus was mushy and tasteless, but the large white-tissue fish was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Ironically, the leftover Jalea the next day was quite satisfying as the batter had softened by then, and expectations of leftovers are always lower. Summary - the service is rude and terrible, the food is not even adequate, and takes forever to be presented. Mala la comida... me enfermé de la guata... parece que algo estaba podrido... los desgraciados me dejaron botado todo el rato... tuve que pedir como 5 veces el pan... Y aun así.. no me lo traían... veía que habian varias personas quejandose porque no le traían cubiertos... Vi que atienden a sus colegas peruanos.. le dejan la mesa preparada con los platos,cubiertos, vasos, todo listo... Pero a los chilenos los discriminan... 😠 Dejan fumar adentro, hacen mucha bulla con una persona que toca la guitarra tan fuerte y no para hasta que le des moneda... Avisé a los garzones que me dolía la cabeza... que tocara en otro lado y ni eso pescaron... No no... pésima atención, horrible, atroz, NO SE LO RECOMIENDO A NADIE... 2 HORA ESPERANDO.... Solo porque mi pareja es un mamón quizo quedarse... o sino lo dejaba botado también... Me quedé solo para que mi pareja no pasara vergüenza... Perdí todo mi fin de semana a que me atendieran... Es un asco... no dan servilleta.. Y el pan me lo trajeron cuando me trajeron la comida... Lo que mas me dio rabia... es que A MI HIJO LE TOCÓ UNA PAPA MORDIDA... OSEA...
