Museo de la Moda — Attraction in Vitacura

The house is very nice . The fashion is lacking. being told it's a museum I would expect to be at the museum a minimum of 1 hour. There are only 3 rooms which 2 of them are small with fashion items and 1 big one.

I was surprised to see majority of the rooms to be about the set of rooms from the family who lived here.

The receptionist is very cold and unwelcoming. She just goes thru the motions and gives no sort of direction.

The only two nice things were the security personnel at the museums are very friendly and helpful.

Este lugar es un fraude, no debería llamarse museo. Me sentí engañado y decepcionado con este museo. En la web dice que tiene 17.000 piezas en conservación, citando momentos históricos como el barroco, el rococó, etc. Varios guías turísticos anuncian el icónico vestido de Madonna y la princesa Diana de Jean Paul Gautier. TODOS MIENTEN. No se expone nada, no hay exhibiciones propias, no hay advertencias, nada se dice claramente en ninguna parte. Solo tiene exposiciones temporales de costumbres, algunas salas narcisistas en la casa del creador del museo.

This place is a fraud, it shouldn't be called a museum. I felt cheated and disappointed in this museum. On the website, it says it has 17,000 pieces in conservation, citing historical moments such as Baroque, Rococo, etc. Several tour guides advertise Jean Paul Gautier's iconic Madonna and Princess Diana dress. ALL LIE. Nothing is exposed, there are no exhibits of its own, no warnings, nothing is clearly said anywhere. It only has temporary exhibitions of costumes, some narcissistic rooms in the house of the creator...

The name of the museum is misleading. This is a preserved home of chillean emigrants. This is not a place to see conserved and historical garments, shoes, hats or handbags. The museum offers 3 small exhibits a year - 2 rooms maybe. When we were there it was Curt Cobain's sneakers and tees - even after living in Seattle this one felt flat. We were advised that if you had a legimate interest in fashion and/or conservation a pre-arranged guided tour could maybe be...
