The Urban Council Centenary Garden is two-section public space east of Chatham Road South and north of Mody Road that offers a bit of a retreat from the narrow streets and rows of hotels, shopping centres and shops in East Tsim Sha Tsui.
This public square was dedicated and opened to the public in 1983 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Urban Council of Hong Kong. The eastern part of the park is a more open layout, traditional public square with a centre fountain pool with benches.
The western section, near Chatham Road South is smaller but more interesting. Here you will find a small curved rows of columns situated in front of an arrow shaped fountain pool with handful of water spouts. The columns were part of the old Kowloon Rail Station. The pool is lined with seating, which can be useful if you've been walking around in TST East and need a seat. There is a row of tall trees surrounding the fountain as well.
