In a short stay in Hong Kong we quickly discovered that most restaurants are inside with the aircon mimicking the north pole. This is not why we like to visit warm countries! Cafe du Fontaine offers (along with about 5 other restaurants in the square ) a great outdoor eating experience. They do an excellent shared platter of kebab style meat with satay and another dip. Happy hour lasts till about 10pm so you can avoid hong kongs crippling beer and spirit prices.. Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this place. The staff told us it was happy hour, so we ordered drinks assuming the promotion was valid. However, when the bill arrived, they said it wasn’t happy hour after all and charged full price — which was extremely expensive.
The service was rude, the attitude unhelpful, and overall the place is not worth the money. There are plenty of better options in Hong Kong with honest prices and friendlier staff. Definitely not...
