Jardim Dr. Carlos d'Assumpção is located in the area of Macau known as the NAPE, which is a land reclamation with a grid street plan and quite a few tall residential towers. This is the corridor green park that runs down the middle of the NAPE connecting Avenida de Amizade to Avenida Dr Sun Yat Sen.
While few tourists will likely wonder into this park, it is actually quite interesting. In addition to some exercise equipment, there is a long row of trees with a centre walkway here. This seems very much out of place here in Macau. However, it creates much shade and there are rarely many people here, making this a quiet place to sit and rest.
The park also includes a pond with bridge as you approach the large scale Kun Iam Statue, situated in the harbour. Sadly, this little pond was not in good shape last time I looked. Lots of algae made it difficult to see the submerged pots and koy fish swimming around. Could use some attention and hopefully soon.
Overall, not a priority city park for visitors to Macau but potentially an interesting place if you are staying at Grand Lapa which is not too far away or perhaps Starworld, Wynn or MGM for a few days and looking for a quiet green park...
