HIPERMARfish — Attraction in Bogota, Capital District

This place is absolutely amazing. First off this company is a direct importer of fish so you get some of your best prices I have seen in bogota. This also makes it where you get some of freshest fish in the city.

So the restaurant, it has an amazing selection of seafood and has something for everyone. It also is 3 stories and keep that in mind the 2nd story is more sushi and Asian dishes while the top ones are the full menu.

I had a pokey bowl this last time and everything was so fresh and tasty. I had a big seafood plate before and it was so much food but also tasted great. I have had the coconut shrimp appetizer before and it was good. Sometimes they can over cook it though and it has been hit and miss. That being said of all the appetizers I have tried that’s the only one that has had that issue.

So I wouldn’t consider this a sushi place, but they have a pretty big verity of sushi. I have tasted a large selection of their sushi rolls. They all taste good and were very fresh however my one complaint is they use way too much rice it seems. I am not going to knock a star off for this because I do not consider this a true sushi restaurant. Just keep that in mind if you hate rolls with a lot of rice you won’t like the rolls here.

Service is overall decent, but when they get busy it can be very slow and irritating.

So the market and I love going to it. The market which is the second story is great!! They have a wide selection of all sorts of seafood and some more exotic fresh fish. They also carry a lot of imports from Asia so if you need items to make sushi rolls you can find most or all of the items here. Pricing is also the best with the quality being as expected for a direct buyer.

This place is like the capital of seafood, occupying an entire building with a seafood-only supermarket on the ground floor and several massive restaurant floors above. Excellent restaurant and super selection of seafood both at more than reasonable prices. Surely they must buy direct for such low seafood prices and eliminate steps and VAT to be so low.
