I'll first say that the location is wonderful and the view from my room was amazing. I could see the city and the ocean, and the hotel itself was centrally located to everything that we wanted to do. The breakfast was great, as was room service (I had seafood pasta). However, our trip was a bit marred by some issues with the room. On our first night our room didn't have any washcloths and several of the buttons on the safe didn't work. We called to have both issues fixed and they never were. We had a dinner to attend, so we ended up using the face towels to shower and tried to lock up our valuables in our suitcases. After dinner, I went to the front desk, explained the issue and they apologized and agreed to send someone up. They resent more face towels (I had described the washcloths and even used the Spanish word for them). Then they came and "fixed" the safe but basically said that we will have to work around the numbers/buttons that didn't work. We noticed that the soap was running low but didn't call about it, figuring that housekeeping would check and fill it up. They didn't, and we didn't realize until we were getting ready for another dinner. They did send someone one up after we called to fix that. They had also taken the face towels from the night before and provided new ones. We later found out that they did have washcloths, as they provided them to other members of our party in other rooms. The entire time we were there, we used our steamer but on the last day we had already packed it up and wanted to use the iron to get ready to go to the airport. Both the iron and the iron board were broken. When we called, the iron they brought had a knotted cord that could not stretch, and we had to iron on one of the beds as it was low enough for the cord.

These "little" issues wouldn't have had such an impact if we weren't on such a tight schedule. Overall, the staff was pleasant, and the room was clean with a beautiful view, but the lack of attention to details slightly marred the visit.
