My friends and I visited Colombia for the first time, and although we enjoy Colombian cuisine, as asian girls we always crave asian flavors especially when we’re on vacation. We’ve tried a lot of asian spots in both Bogota and Cartagena but none really hit the spot. Luckily we came across Restaurant Nami and OMG absolutely everything was BOMB! We had the Umami Maiz and Cauliflower Pop as appetizers and we literally emptied our plates (added before and after photos) because it was so good and nothing like we ever had before! I then had the spicy curry shrimp as my main and it its easily the best curry i’ve had ever. I am a sucker for spicy food and this one was totally on point. Shout out to our server Yair for being the best! He spoke good english too so it was a relief to us who can’t speak spanish 😅 Oh and the sake cocktail was too cute and really good too! 5 out of 5!!

Let me just say it right now — DO NOT HESITATE TO COME AND EAT HERE. The food here is exceptionally good! We had the cauliflower, the umami maiz, which both exceeded our expectations — if you don’t get anything else, at least get these two because you will leave with very satisfied stomachs. I ordered the tiger special roll and the O-Tama and they both blew my mind — the portions were big, too (all way worth more than what we paid for). Everything, taste-wise, was great! Yair, who served us, was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks, Yair! We are already planning to come back! Definitely a place you won’t want to miss!

My friends and I wanted to test the Japanese food in Cartagena, and Nami exceeded our expectations. Our waiter, Yair, was so friendly and patient with us as we tried to practice ordering our meal in Spanish. I got the Canton rice with pork belly and it was amazing. I asked to make it spicy and the kick made it even better for me. My friends also ordered a sushi roll and a shrimp curry which were excellent. Please have the umami corn too- your taste buds will thank you. The best food we have had on the trip thus far (and we have been to many restaurants)!

This was my first time in Cartagena, I’ve researched places to eat but I’m so glad we stumbled across this gem by our hotel for a quick bite to eat after we finally arrived. The service was great, thanks Daniel! We had the crab samosas, the salmon potato chili poppers for appetizers, the tiger sushi which was OH MY GOD… amazing!!!! We ended with the Mongolian beef and salmon rice which was good as well! We will definitely be returning before we leave!!! The pictures do no justice!!

Wonderful experience. The place is not pretentious but rather a cultural homage. The food was a distinctly Colombian style of sushi, and the execution was by far the best I’ve had in Colombia. Service was superb; while not required I was offered the experience and menu in English. Highly recommend if you’re craving a unique sushi experience. The prices were typical for this type of food in Colombia.

This little gem is a must visit when you come to Cartagena, CO. I ordered the salmon rice and peppermint lemonade (not pictured). You can taste the freshness. The service is wonderful and they have both English & Spanish menus which is helpful. They stay open late and it’s a vibe. I enjoy restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye and delicious food and nami checks all those boxes!
