Double Hook Sports Bar — Restaurant in Quepos

Waitress brought me the wrong food - and I am not usually one to complain like literally ever. But we have been hiking all morning and I really needed lunch. When I told her what she brought me wasn’t what I ordered (I ordered the southwest wrap with chicken, she brought me a cheesesteak) - she seemed annoyed I wanted to send it back. When I got it back it seemed like they just dumped the contents of the cheesesteak into a tortilla and gave it back. It wasn’t chicken, still steak and it had tons of mushrooms in it and all the steak was just white fat I had to spit out. I like the place. Good food. Good price for this town. Great views.

My only frustration is that they refuse to understand any Spanish. I am in a Spanish speaking country and I have been living in Spanish speaking countries for a year and can manage fine.

In this place, they look at you like you are from another planet if you say something as simple as “agua”. In fact one girl when I ordered a hamburger in Spanish went over and got the English menu and pointed. 😂

This place is the worst, do not bother spending your money here. The only perk was ¢1000 for margaritas on the rocks, but other than that the food is poor quality. We ordered fish taco and for some reason it was strictly lettuce, then we decided to open the taco and there was a 3 inch fried fish stick! The audacity.
