Nice, ski area for families. Many blue and red slopes. Red is not really very difficult. I'm not realy a hero on skies and I don't really like the red slope in for example Avoriaz, but these red slopes are not comparable to red in France or Austria. These in Špindlerův Mlýn are nice and wide and you can better call them dark blue :) Don't expect that you are on your skis or snowboard for a whole day going from one mountain to the other, which you can in Austria or France, but you can be busy here all day on the skis. The ski bus takes you to all slopes in this area for free.

The village has many hotels, pensions and restaurants where it is still reasonably cheap to eat. There are many, especially sports / ski clothing stores which are outrageously expensive in contrast to eating out or the groceries you can get there.

The medical care here is now modern and up-to-date. The medic point in the village is very professional, friendly (we unfortunately experienced it personally), modern and up-to-date . I think the ski area can be on bucket lists for family's with young kids.

I think Spindleruv Mlyn is BEAUTIFUL.. but overpriced. food, acomodación and Gopass. I was coming here since 10 years, past 2 I feel disappointed. Today we had 2 slopes open. Sure - the highest point was closed because of the wind. But they even didn’t bother to prepare the one that was lower with snow groomer. Slopes were full of bumps and unpleasant. Other details:

Service. They are treating all ppl like frauds. Suddenly they blocked my card/Gopass.I went to the cashier and the lady told me somebody pass after me while crossing the gate. I didn’t know this person. He/she made it without my counciousnes. Instead of looking for this person they were punishing me - well done. I haven’t heard “sorry for inconvenience”. I guess the lady was expecting repentance from me.

I am questioning their ethic. They are pushing ppl to buy Gopass trough the machine. It’s fine that they are trying to modernize the system. You just need to give them all your information: birth date/email etc. that (as we all know) has grate value nowadays. If you don’t want to give your data - BOOM. The prices for Gopass are raising. I would say they are ridiculously expensive if you wanna buy them in conventional way. So YOU HAVE TO give your data. I haven’t felt that it’s voluntary. I think it’s sneaky.

God is in...

Certainly the largest and most expensive ski resort in Czechia with highest popularity, well developed infrastructure of hotels and restaurants however with some flaws worth considering before investing your time and money: Tons of people especially during peak season, long lines, people waiting for their turn not just in the traffic but also at the slope lift. Quite expensive for what u r getting in the end, real cash grabber especially for the families can make your wallet dry pretty quickly. Parking at Medvedin slope is not paved and quite messy on the wet day with lot of puddles and mud, something what should have been addressed and fix long time ago for the price you're paying for. Gopass app is a complicated and unintuitive mess not created to easily and quickly process your payment and buy your ski pass. Otherwise the place OK especially when there's some natural pow especially at Medvedin u can try some forest ride looking...

Great resort for skiing and sledging. It is not cheap, ski passes are comparable to other countries. Accommodation is plentiful and varied to for every budget. The pistes are kept in good order and lots of people on hand to help if needed. Negatives. Most places that serve food and drink are expensive, not withstanding the location, it should be cheaper. The place is very Czech which is not a negative but the lack of options for vegetarians is shocking. Chips and fried cheese at best at the small cafes next to the piste. Very friendly helpful locals, they have to tolerate a lot of the things that come with tourists but still so helpful. This week has seen a a few days of technical snow being used but the snow came yesterday which has made skiing fun. I would recommend a visit and I am sure you'll enjoy it.

27 kilometers of pistes, 6 chairlifts and 11 lifts and some of the best skiing conditions, groomed tracks from time to time, ski rentals, ski schools and the famous Fresh Track. Some of the slopes have artificial snowmaking technology and sometimes night skiing is available on Hromovka. The Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards relative to the quality of the services provided, and according to the information provided, it has won the WSA survey for the best ski resort in the Czech Republic for several years in a row. Ski pass prices in Špindlerův Mlýn are close to the most expensive alpine resorts. A weekend for three adults here costs up to €1,000
