GRAND APARTMENTS — Hotel in okres Trutnov

I have booking last minute this place as I wanted to get out of town for long weekend. This place looked very new on their website. Booked on Booking.com. This place was renovated and had a smell of freshness. The location is absolutely fabulous, right in the city centry of Spindleruv Mlyn, very close to everything one wants. 5 mins walk to bus terminal, 1 min to post office/ atm. lots of pubs and bars within 5 mins of walking. Originally I have booked without breakfast. I was offered breakfast on the spot for 4 EUR/85 CZK/per day. I took it but That was the only bad thing from my stay. The breakfast was very poor, not much selection of anything. Place is great, but dont choose the breakfast. In the apartments they have kitchen where you can prepare it yourself for half of the price and it will taste great. All in all, good place and I would come back, but would not take the breakfast option unless it was included...

The positives: Quite large bedroom with a sofa and a table, very clean and tastefully decorated. Very good location – in the centre of town and the ski bus stop is on your doorstep – we were able to put our skis on right outside our front door. Breakfast consists of a variety of cold meats, cheeses, eggs etc . – it’s tasty but it gets a bit repetitive after a while – would welcome more choice/variety. ||||The only downside I can see is the noise coming from both the street (music club is opposite, which means many merry people returning to their hotels in the middle of the night) and from downstairs – you can literally hear every step in somebody’s ski boots (there is a ski rental on the ground floor). There isn’t much the owners can do to improve this apart from perhaps a better insulation of both the walls and the windows? ||||Very friendly and helpful...

We stayed here on walking trip in nearby mountains.||Rooms were unusual in that 2 bed apartment has no sitting room and shower/toilet was accessed via one of the bedrooms which was slightly awkward.||Rooms were perfectly adequate for a nights stay, fairly basic but clean and well maintained.||Big plus was breakfast in hotel area.||Good selection of cold dishes and some hot ones prepared to order.||The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was pretty much as you would expect in...
