Au Marché de la Butte — Local services in Paris

Just a local epicerie, but a "must stop" place if you are an Amelie fan. The outside is charmingly Parisian without too many modern alteration. This is also a nice change as the street is usually void of tourists and crowd except for the few Amelie aficionado.

A good point if it's summer and you're thirsty I would suggest avoiding buying water around the Sacrée Coeur church as you will likely pay 2,50 euros for a small bottle of water. Rather you can buy a large bottle at "Colignon's" for 1.50 a good deal and a good way to make sure business is working for this small shop.

Went in here with my partner. We bought 2 bananas, 2 peaches and 1 can of coke which came up as 5 euros on the till, we then realised we didn’t have cash so asked to pay by card. As soon as we paid using contactless we realised immediately that we’d been charged 15 euros! When I quizzed the young man at the cashier about this he became very rude and swore at us!
