BEWARE — WORST LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN PARIS!
I spent 3 months at this language school and lost my passion for the language. I have studied English, Russian and Spanish in language schools worldwide in the past 10 years and never experienced such a bad school/teachers/service.
BOOKED COURSE NOT AVAILABLE: I took two placement tests that confirmed I had a B1 level before booking the course. When I arrived, there was no B1 course available. I had to join the B2 course and only grasped half of it. Many other students had the same problem.
WORST FRENCH TEACHER I EVER MET: The teachers changed almost daily. There was no structure to the lessons and no book. Non of the teachers were great. One teacher was grumpy, freelancing without a background in education. He made fun of two students who didn’t understand and one time screamed at a female student. Moreover, he was late at least twice a week (arrived up to 15 minutes late without compensation). He also seemed completely unfamiliar with the standard DELF/DALF french exam formats.
ALL LEVELS IN ONE COURSE: I also took the afteroon class in addition to the morning class for the first few weeks before changing to online class. They call their afternoon class “l’atelier” to make it sound sophisticated, but it’s just a mixed-level group (A1–C1) thrown together, where no student learns anything.
NO POWER FOR STUDENTS: After some weeks, I wanted to switch the afternoon course to online course. However, they did not let me. Hence, I had to call my home country agency which had to intervene by calling the school. Only then was I available to switch the afternoon class.
LYING: After the support of the agency, I was allowed to switch and was told by the front desk that the afternoon online class would again be for all levels (A1–C1), which I didn’t like at all but had to accept since I was not given any refund. Meanwhile, my friend was told that the online course was specifically for her level (A1). Guess what? We ended up in the same class! Despite being told the opposite.
POOR SCHOOL CONDITION: The classrooms are tiny, with the cheapest broken IKEA desks designed for one student—yet you have to share them. Classes tend to be packed with up to 14 students. In the 3 months I spent there, there was never any soap in the bathroom, which was unaccceptable.
NO CERTIFICATE RECEIVED: The only mildly positive thing was that the front desk staff were sometimes kind, though rarely helpful. To this day, I still haven’t received my certificate for the online course.
I strongly recommend you book language courses elsewhere in Paris. I met several students from other schools (Accord, Alliance Francaise; ELFE) who were much happier with their school.

Read moreWould give zero stars if I could. Terrible terrible experience. TL:DR - I paid after asking if they had classes fitting my schedule only to find after I paid that they didn't and then they refused to give me a full refund, and I've still received no money back 90 days later.
I signed up for a 5 week course in August to attend Sept-Oct and when I inquired via email if the times/dates would match my schedule (that I provided) based on what was expressed and shown on the website I was assured that there would be a enough classes to fit my schedule. When I arrived to get my student card I was informed that there absolutely no classes to fit my schedule. I had unfortunately already paid (which is a part of their process to take your money). I expressed that I was interested in a refund but they continued to offer non solutions i.e workshops and more extensive courses that when I inquired more about they said "oh well actually that wouldn't make sense" so I was offered no real solution. When I finally said no thank you I just want a refund (for the second time) they refused to give me my full refund citing their policy and even saying since I asked "officially" for a refund the day after classes started that I shouldn't even get a refund. They said I would get 75% of my refund and that it would take up to 90 days. I had to make two more trips to the school to provide my banking details. 90 days later I still received no refund and no additional information. After reminding them to give me my refund and once again asking for my full refund due to poor communication and terrible timeliness they said "we've just now processed your refund and no you should feel lucky to receive even 75% of your refund" Would not recommend this headache at all. Wish I could actually speak to the quality of their teaching services but I unfortunately can only speak to how they are great at taking your money because of their convenient policies. Don't give...
Read moreAs someone who is miles away from France, understandably I had my doubts when I wrote to France Langue Paris about my Language Study Plan. However, Ms. Agathe—the School Representative who replied—restored my faith. How she went the extra mile to take care of my millions of questions still warms my heart.
The recent Reviews (some complaints) from other Students is my main reason to write this Review. Fellow Student Candidates: Do not despair! I trust that most of the Team Members in France Langue are as dedicated as Ms. Agathe. I can’t emphasize enough how Ms. Agathe’s Problem-Solving Skills, Clear Communication and above all: Friendly Attitude are my motivation to study at France Langue the soonest.
Here’s how Ms. Agathe went above and beyond: First of all: She compassionately offered for us to e-communicate in English (instead of me trying to use French Google Translate) and her English is impressive! She proactively checked my Online Placement Test Result (and when she found out I took the wrong test from the France Langue website, she showed me where to go instead) She really put her Product Knowledge to good use: In addition to how she structures her email so clearly categorized (super helpful!), she took time to let me know what International Students will need to study safely in Paris When in the end I had to delay my Trip Plan, she still made an effort to follow up with me as a Student Candidate
Not only Ms. Agathe has helped to brighten up my day as the Customer Candidate, but she won my loyalty to France Langue! For sure when I’ve completed my Trip Preparation to Paris, France Langue is the Language School I’ll enroll...
